* OvershadowedByAwesome: Technically, the League of Assassins is supposed to be only a branch of Ra's Al Ghul's vast criminal empire, as "the fang that protects the head". But due to the League of Assassins being much more glamourous and cool than the rest of Ra's organization, they're the only one that gets any attention, to the point that not many people are even aware that Ra does anything but lead the League and DependingOnTheWriter, League of Assassins is actually used to refer to the entirety of Ra's organization.

* GuestStarPartyMember: Several named DC villains serve as members of the League of Assassins depending on the story, such as ComicBook/LadyShiva and Merlyn the Dark Archer, but they just as frequently leave and act independently from the League, mostly due to writers not wanting the villains to have the League of Assassins as baggage to the storylines they're planning.

* SuperBreedingProgram: Ra's personally obsessed with this, having created several programs within the League to create the "perfect assassin" by handpicking the most suitable candidates to breed, often by force. The most famous cases are Damian Wayne (born from Talia Al Ghul and Bruce Wayne) and Cassandra Cain (Born from David Cain and ComicBook/LadyShiva), both who ironically ended up defecting from the League and joining the Bat-family.

Probably the biggest threat to the world in Batman's Rogues Gallery, Ra's Al Ghul (Arabic for "The Demon's Head", and pronounced "Raysh Al-Ghool" or "Rahz Al-Ghool" depending on the adaptation) is a centuries-old man who leads an enormous international terrorist organization known as "The Demon", as well as the League of Assassins. Unlike most of the other Bat-rogues, he is actually quite cultured and polite, if ruthless, and genuinely believes his goals to be noble. Of course, since his goal is to "purify" the world by killing off ninety percent of its population, Batman disagrees.
