* NiceGirl: Despite her spaciness, she's one of the kindest and gentlest members of the cast. The closest she ever gets to acting mean is her failed attempt at scaring Chiyo with a tiny and ''very'' mild firecracker, and even then it only happens in the anime.

* {{Beergasm}}: She ''loves'' her beer, but can't hold it at all.

* CantHoldHerLiquor: To the point that Minamo takes measures to prevent her from getting drunk.

* NightmareFetishist: She's the only member of the cast who actually ''enjoys'' Yukari's reckless driving.

* ObliviouslyEvil: Apparently? Abusing her students [[WouldHurtAChild (including Chiyo)]] [[DisproportionateRetribution for doing such things]], being a overall GreenEyedMonster (especially when Minamo gets birthday presents from the students), [UnsportsmanlikeGloating even mocking and taunting the opposing team]]. That's how you know how a JerkAss Yukari is.

* AmbiguouslyRelated: Whether or not he's ''actually'' Chiyo's dad as he claims is never made clear, as the two are never seen together outside of {{Dream Sequence}}s and {{Imagine Spot}}s. In the rare moments that Sekaki mentions his abilities and traits to Chiyo, she seems genuinely confused, muddling the issue even further.

* NeverGetsFat: Her athletic activities mean she eats quite a lot of food, but she never seems to put on weight.

* PetTheDog: Episode 10 gives her two surprisingly nice moments in contrast to her [[JerkAss normal personality]], when she reassures Chiyo and Osaka that they'll still be in her class with all of their friends, and when she tries to help Kaorin with her flower picking that'll "decide" if she'll be in the same class as Sakaki.

* TheShameless: No matter what insults are thrown her way about her laziness, poor grades, or {{Jerkass}} behavior, Tomo is blissfully oblivious. One example is when, during a BeachEpisode, Tomo, hearing Chiyo say that if she'd lost the keys would have them all in trouble, seizes the keys from her and tosses them into a field. While everyone is hunting for the keys, knowing how she has already inconvenienced everyone, says that it'd be funny if she found the keys and tossed them again.

** Yukari Tanizaki makes Tomo look like an amateur. She DrivesLikeCrazy, makes unreasonable demands of her childhood friend Nyamo, is not quite TheAlcoholic, but near enough that Nyamo worries about her drinking around her students on vacation, and makes bets with other teachers about her student's performances during the Sports Fest (though she at least bets in favor of her own class). She even gives a speech in {{Engrish}} about how she is not afflicted with shame, and is merely fascinated by the Japanese view of the subject.
** Mr. Kimura has absolutely no qualms about telling his students that he became a teacher because he "likes high school girls". He's married and has a daughter, but he openly shows a great deal of interest in Kaorin, despite her constant efforts to rebuff him. excel at anything, because she never really applies herself to anything, but still likes to compete with her classmates, and seems to think she's [[TheAce pretty hot stuff]]. [[UnwantedAssistance She isn't.]] The first New Year's Dream series of strips implies that she's actually somewhat insecure about the "small name" part deep down and that the big ego is a means of covering that up, considering how her own dream revolves around her one-upping her peers to cartoonishly unrealistic heights.

* CatSmile: His only expression.

* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: When he's sleeping or when he just has a normal CatSmile.

By far the most unusual of Yukari's students. She was given the nickname "Osaka" by Tomo. Soon, everyone else starts to call her by the nickname, that they (including Ayumu herself) even forgot what her actual name is. As her nickname suggests, she's a transfer student from Osaka, though she only lived there for a year. She's a soft-spoken girl who's known for spouting non-sequiturs, falling asleep in class, and having strange daydreams. Osaka isn't the brightest crayon in the box and is so hapless that even [[TheLoad Chiyo]] can beat her at sports. However, she has a knack for puns and riddles and [[GeniusDitz can occasionally pick up on things the others miss.]]
