A scrawny, nerdy-looking superhero wannabe who was shunned by everyone else for his unfortunate ability to steal others' powers. With his dreams of joining the Justice Alliance crushed by this misfortunate, he seeks to rob them of their powers and use them for himself to show the world that they're "no more a hero than anyone else".\\

The heroic protectors of Mega City and successors of the now "vanished" Captain Atomic. Joey and AP transform into the superhero Atomic Puppet when Joey places AP on his hand, forming a dynamic duo unlike any other. As their powers come from the transformed Captain Atomic, Atomic Puppet possesses all his powers, allowing them to effortlessly take on the same threats the Captain did - even despite the challenges that come with their unusual partnership.

A 12-year-old fanboy of Captain Atomic and longtime avid consumer of superhero comic books, Joey is an excitable and good-natured kid who is utterly ecstatic to be the successor and partner of Captain Atomic (now a sock puppet known as AP). Able to reactivate AP's lost powers by placing him on his hand, Joey is determined to prove himself worthy of fighting alongside his favorite superhero and show him Atomic Puppet can be a worthy successor to the Captain.

A feisty and tenacious talking sock puppet who was formerly Mega City's greatest superhero and defender of over 30 years, Captain Atomic. Although he has been stripped of his superpowers and celebrity status by this transformation, AP retains all his pride and hotheadedness. And after years of taking on every supervillain entirely on his own, he finds it difficult to accept that he now must rely on Joey in order to continue defending his beloved city.

Joey's best friend and the only person in Mega City with more obsessed with superhero comic books than he is. She works at the local comic book shop Cosmic Comix, which happens to be owned by her uncle. Confident but impulsive, Pauline is the only civilian who knows Joey and AP's secret, and thus often helps them fight the bad guys with nothing but her sass and wits - even if AP thinks having to rely on one wannabe superhero kid is bad enough already.

A team of superheroes tasked with defending the greater galaxy from their flying skyscraper headquarters. Captain Atomic was formerly the leader of these heroes, but following his "disappearance", Atomic Puppet has joined the gang as their newest member (despite some initial reluctance from AP). They are composed of:

Commander Cavalier, a dashingly handsome (if exceptionally self-admiring) hero with heat vision powers whose perfectly tanned muscles are only matched in size by his heart. As the former second-in-command to Captain Atomic, he has taken the reins of leader of the Justice Alliance in his absence.

Robo-Ron, a cycborg superhero who communicates entirely through robotic beatbox. While he doesn't have much in the way of strength compared to the others, his super-genius intellect gives him a knack for developing a wide variety of gadgets and full knowledge of the Justice Alliance headquarters' inner workings.

Crimson Beacon, a red superhero with fiery hair who never says a word. While not much is known about him personality-wise, he has become the new second-in-command of the Justice Alliance and can conjure almost any tool imaginable using the red energy spheres equipped to his wrists.

A mighty Amazonian superheroine of incredible power and beauty. Despite her silly name, Princess War Tickle is the only superhero in the world who outstrips Captain Atomic in sheer power, much to the latter's chagrin. Wielding the Sword of Enlightenment, she is tasked with protecting the multiverse from her floating palace in the Everrealm.
