* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Arion becomes this in his later life contrary to his upbringing; In the 1600s, he was willing to force Superman (after traveling to the future) to stopping his heroics and let civilization fall in order to advert a dark possible future that ends up killing all of humanity. Superman didn't take kindly to this. In the modern era, he was also pretty mean to Power Girl, who was considered his great-granddaughter. Even though he revealed to have lied about that, he still didn't treat her well. With that said, he still has the best of humanity at heart despite his scorn towards their ignorance, agrees with Superman's insertion that humanity will not give up nor should it, and that he does care for Power Girl.

** InsufferableGenius: Despite Calculha's teachings and lesson that he learned, he hasn't shaken off his arrogance. The ''DC Encyclopedia: Updated and Expanded'' notes that he is very aware that his studies and heritage makes him extremely powerful and he isn't afraid to flaunt that around. With that said, he is considered one of DCU's most powerful sorcerers. And for good reason.

The Lord High Mage and later King of Atlantis. Arion is the oldest son of Caluclha and Majistra. After a family feud left his body in an intagible state and his soul in Darkworld, he was freed and ascended to his poliical stations with Wyynde, Chian, and Mara by his side. However, despite his best efforts, Atlantis fell and he resumed his duties as a Lord of Order with wanning powers. In the modern era, he regains his powers and fights evil (reluctantly) once more until his demise by Mordru.
