** As the leader of the flock, Red is easily the grumpiest bird and is sometimes a bit of control freak toward the other birds, especially when it comes to protecting the eggs. With that being said, he does care for them in the end.

* TheParanoiac:
** In the game, if you're Red, even harmless things can be interpreted as pigs attempting to steal their eggs. Knowing how persistent the pigs are, [[ProperlyParanoid he's not entirely wrong]].
** In the ''Toons'' short "Red's Vacation", he keeps thinking about the eggs when he's supposed to be on vacation, until he finally snaps and runs home to see that his family has been beaten up by the pigs and the eggs are gone. After rescuing them, he brings the eggs on vacation with him.

* JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope: Gale initially portrayed as SpoiledBrat who occasionally order her friends around, yet still value her friendship with them, especially toward Stella. Once she found the crown that allows her to be a higher up toward the minion pigs though, Gale straight up becomes a ruthless queen who willing to oppose anyone who doesn't follow her wish, including her friends.

* EvilGenius: He comes up with a bunch of great plans to steal the eggs, but he's smart enough to give the credit to the King Pig, [[TheStarscream even if he doesn't like him]].

** In "Cave Pig", he sets up a cupcake trap right above a circle of frozen water meant for the titular pig. Unfortunately, King Pig is too dimwitted and hungry to follow along and Chef Pig tries his hardest to stop him, only for Cave Pig too accidentally knock him into his own trap alongside King Pig when he does so.

* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Upon her discovery while simultaneously losing her crown on the Season 2 premiere of ''Stella'' series, she returned to Stella's flock and appeared to be back to being nice toward them again, albert remain being SpoiledBrat and sort of missed her place as a queen. Thus, as soon as Handsome Pig found the crown and return it to her, Gale waste no time to return to her villainous way with glee, although she does sort of feel guilty about it which is doesn't matter to her anyway.

* YouWillBeSpared: When Gale finally gets her feathers on the Golden Egg, the pigs plead with Hamsome Pig to steal it when she turns one of them to gold. Hamsome Pig, who can't stand how she's been lavishing over the Golden Egg since she got it, complies, and it ends as one would expect. But instead of turning ''him'' to gold, she turns his wig to gold. At this seeming sign that she does value him, he's instantly is on her side again. * AnIcePerson: In ''Angry Birds Transformers'', she cosplays Slipstream and her weapon shoots out ice blocks.

* Expy: Possibly of Gale from ''Angry Birds Stella''.

The female red bird is an unnamed, unplayable bird who appears in the ''Angry Birds Seasons'' episode [[ValentinesDayEpisode Hogs and Kisses]].

* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: He shares the same role as King Pig in ''The Angry Birds Movie'', but isn't actually King Pig himself--he has a beard (which Smooth Cheeks obviously lacks), is more competent, and is implied to be the father of the games' King Pig.

* ArmorIsUseless: {{Downplayed}}. His helmet does indeed make him tougher than the typical Minion Pigs, but the armorless Foreman Pig and King Pig are stronger than him.
* ArtEvolution: Started off as a regular minion pig in a helmet. His first ''Toons'' design resembles his classic one in a way, but with a silver helmet. Now he's greener and grumpier looking with a darker worn-out helmet that covers his eyes.

* GadgeteerGenius: Was apparently able to make a HumongousMecha in "Slappy-Go-Lucky" episode of the ''Toons'' series all by himself (albeit after stealing the blueprints from Professor Pig). Unfortunately, he isn't enough of one to prevent it from [[GoneHorriblyWrong Going Horribly Wrong...]]

In ''Angry Birds Epic'' he epitomizes the trope--Assisted with Prince Porky, he's the one who steals the eggs, hides them in the castles, uses his magic to antagonize and hinder the birds, fights them directly, and [[spoiler:[[TheStarscream eventually usurps]] the [[ZeroEffortBoss now-completely-helpless]] King Pig.]]

* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Due to his ego and prones to cause trouble, Chuck is occasionally disliked by the other birds because of it. It gets to the point that he kicked out from the flock once in "Chucked Out" episode of ''Toons'' until he swoops back in to save the day when he pigs stole the eggs again. His later incarnations mostly tends to avert this however.

Jo is a superb bird of paradise who was introduced as a new character for Pride Month in 2023. They love dancing and arts and try to make the world a better place, but they are a little shy and prefer to stick with a close-knit group of friends. Tapping the screen causes a flurry of miniature Jo's to rain down on the pigs' structures and damage them. Jo is the first non-binary character in the ''Angry Birds'' franchise and made their playable debut in ''Angry Birds 2''.

* AdaptationalJerkass: While he's mostly the same ol' grumpy bird, the movie continuity portrays him as a miserable loner who doesn't like to stick around with the other birds to hide his insecurities.

* HotBlooded: Thanks to his temper, he prones to overreacting toward everything that annoys him. In the movie, he even admits that he's a "passionate" bird.

* TheStoic: Downplayed. In the movie, he rarely laughs or cries. This also correlates with him being a grumpy bird.
