* CoolTeacher: She shows to be friendly when not dealing with troublemaker. She even remembered when Anne's birthday is.

* TheVoice: Anne's shown her new Amphibian friends a photograph of Sasha and Marcy. She's shown them ''several'' pictures of her cat, Domino. The closest she comes to showing them her parents prior to season 3 is a picture of the restaurant they work at. So far, Oum has made an "appearance" in exactly one of Anne's flashbacks... calling out to Anne from another room.

** She eventually makes her first physical appearance during a flashback in season 2 from when she took Anne on a trip to Thailand, and her dad appears in the season 3 premiere.

* ShoutOut: Her entire character is one to [[Franchise/SpiderMan Mary Jane Watson]], to contrast Sprig's superhero persona's Spider-Man and her grandfather's Doctor Octopus; she even shares the initials in her first two names. Her blonde hair also brings to mind Gwen Stacy.

* {{Expy}}: A very obvious one to Doctor Octopus, sharing many characteristics with the ''Franchise/SpiderMan'' villain, right down to sharing half of his name (Robert OTTO, OTTO Octavius), although instead of having four extra mechanical arms, he only has one.

* PetTheDog: When Anne informs Maggie that it's her birthday, she takes a brief pause from picking on her to wish her happy birthday in total sincerity.

* DoesNotWearShoes: Oum tends to walk barefooted while in the house.

* SatelliteFamilyMember: [[spoiler:Their only role ([[OneShotCharacter in their only appearance]]) is that they announce to Marcy that they're moving to another state, which prompts Marcy to steal The Calamity Plot and kickstart the whole plot.]]

* AmbiguousGender: A lot about this character is a mystery, including their gender. It's unknown whether they are male or female, given they have a somewhat masculine appearance, but are always called by the feminine name "Jenny" (which might not even be their real name or anything close), and they haven't been referred to by any gender-related pronouns to date, not to mention Jenners doesn't even talk. Considering the covert ops element of Mr. X and Jenners' mission, their gender could very well be classified. In "Hollywood Hop Pop", Mr. X calls Jenny "girl", though that could just be one of [[AgentPeacock his campier affectations]].

* AmbiguousGenderIdentity: Terri is called "lady" once by Anne[[note]]at a time when she barely knows them, in the immediate aftermath of a crisis that would have taken priority over them disclosing their actual gender identity to her[[/note]], but otherwise doesn't have any pronouns used for them in the show. ''Marcy's Journal'', on the other hand, exclusively uses they/them pronouns for them.

* AmbiguouslyEvil: He is adamant about bringing the Plantars in and possibly dissecting them, but that's mostly because he doesn't know how or why they came to Earth. For all he knows, they could be the ones plotting an invasion. [[spoiler:After listening to the Boonchuys explain themselves and the truth of Andrias invading Earth, he confirms his allegiance as a good guy]].
* AntiVillain: He is an antagonist to the Plantars, but is a pretty polite and gracious man otherwise.
