Added DiffLines:

* NoSell: His "Shock Absorption" Quirk makes him more or less immune to blunt impacts so long as its doesn't breach a certain threshold. Because of this, Bakugou and Todoroki were able to repeatedly damage the Nomu with their heat and cold-producing Quirks, but Izuku wasn't able to even tickle it even while going all out, only managing to stall him by keeping his attentio and grappling him. Even then, its HealingFactor ensured that it wouldn't stay down for long.

Added DiffLines:

* WorfHadTheFlu: Todoroki and Bakugou freezing and scorching Nomu at the beginning stunned and weakened him enough to bring Nomu's speed down to a relatively manageable level. This is the reason why Nomu didn't simply SpeedBlitz all of them until it had finished healing off enough of the damage.

* CoveredInScars: He has numerous scars despite his Super Regeneration, likely the result of the human experimentation used to create him.

* {{Expy}}: His strength, speed, durability, and HealingFactor remind everyone of the Hulk, and the Nomu is even referred to as the "Living Hulk" by the press.

to:

* DumbMuscle: He's essentially braindead when he's not being given orders. In exchange, he has the strength, speed, and durability to trade blows with All Might. Unfortunately for Nomu, he's so weakened by being forced to constantly regenerate that All Might defeats him in two punches.
* {{Expy}}: His strength, speed, durability, and HealingFactor remind everyone of the Hulk, and the Nomu is even referred to as the "Living Hulk" by the press. His seemingly unstoppable nature also brought The Juggernaut to mind.
* EvilIsBigger: He's enormous. Izuku only comes up to Nomu's waist, Nomu's arms alone are as long and thick as Izuku's entire body, and he's three times as wide as the young Hero.

Added DiffLines:

* WakeUpCallBoss: Compared to the {{Mook}}s that Aizawa and Midnight easily handle on their own, Nomu is the real threat of USJ. He incapacitates both heroes in seconds with his raw strength and speed and comes within a hairs-breadth of killing Izuku, Bakugou, and Todoroki on several occasions. The boys only made it out unscathed due to teamwork and a willingness to resort to lethal force.

The Nomu is on the receiving end of one after All Might arrives, as Nomu's Quirks were already stressed to the limit after taking constant bouts of damage from Todoroki, Bakugou, Present Mic, and Snipe.

Then his arm is horribly mutilated when Izuku is forced to phase through it to avoid getting reduced to chunks, putting Nomu's fingers near his elbow and fusing the lower arm and forearm into a stump.

!!!Debut: '''Issue 16 - The Coming of the League of Villains!'''
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nomu_anime_profile.png]]

A hulking, artificial being created to take down All Might. He has "Super Regeneration" and "Shock Absorption" Quirks on top of its monstrous size, strength and speed.
----
* AnArmAndALeg: He loses limbs multiple times during his fight with Izuku, Bakugou, and Todoroki. [[HealingFactor It doesn't last long.]]
* TheBrute: The Nomu only has barely enough self-awareness to notice his own injuries and the people around him. Otherwise he just overwhelms his foes with sheer brute force and his inability to stay down.
* {{Expy}}: His strength, speed, durability, and HealingFactor remind everyone of the Hulk, and the Nomu is even referred to as the "Living Hulk" by the press.
* GoodThingYouCanHeal: Because of his HealingFactor, Todoroki and Bakugou resort to lethal force to have any chance of keeping Nomu back, freezing off limbs, scorching his face and eyes, and impaling him on ice spears. These only barely manage to slow him down.
* ItIsDehumanizing: While Shigaraki refers to Nomu as "him", the heroes call the Nomu "It" to emphasize just how monstrous and dangerous he is to them.
* LightningBruiser: Once it begins to recover from being frozen and blasted by Todoroki and Bakugou, its speed is enough to move faster than even Izuku can react on top of being strong enough to reduce any of them to chunks with a single punch. Its Quirks also ensure that it can NoSell nearly anything the heroes throw at him. Izuku's punches fail to even tickle him and all the Spider-Man can do is distract him by using his bulk against him.
* NotSoInvincibleAfterAll: After shrugging off all of the heroes' attempts to stop him, Nomu is ultimately worn down after getting his arm mutilated by Izuku's Quirk, getting blasted and frozen repeatedly, and being forced to dig his way out of concrete courtesy of Cementoss. As a result, All Might ends up defeating Nomu in two blows after his HealingFactor fails to keep up with all of this additional damage.

In short, if it weren't for Prowler, Izuku would not have become a Hero.
* DarkActionGirl: The Prowler is HellBentForLeather, badass enough to take on Spider-Man one-on-one, and has escaped capture from all of Japan's greatest Heroes.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: All For One implies that Prowler spared Izuku because she knows him personally in her civilian identity.
* FlippingTheBird: Gives the middle finger to Mysterio while he's busy chastising her for failing to kill Peter.
* GenderFlip: In the comics, the Prowler was the male Hobie Brown or Aaron Davis. Here, she's a woman.
* GravityMaster: Her Quirk lets her control her own gravity, allowing her and her bike to run along walls and ceilings.
* TheHeavy: She's All For One's liaison to Mysterio and most frequent agent in the early parts of the story. Her actions drive the events that lead to Izuku's empowerment and her highly dangerous and destructive equipment gets the police to start looking into Mysterio.
* HellBentForLeather: The Prowler is decked out in a purple leather top with a matching purple vest and a purple mask to conceal her identity.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Inverted. She utilizes a shinai while most of the Pro Heroes she fights don't.
* ImplacableWoman: She's so determined to get her mark that it takes the likes of [[WorldsStrongestMan All Might]] to get her to think twice about chasing after Peter. Being kicked through a wall, weaving through oncoming traffic, and getting punched down the street do little to stop her prior to this.
* JapaneseDelinquents: Prowler’s costume, which includes a long coat with kanji on the back and semi-baggy pants, makes Izuku note she looks like a Villain version of a Sukeban delinquent. Prowler also has a tendency to use rude language and curse on top of using a metal shinai akin to the bats and other {{Improvised Weapon}}s used by delinquents.
* KickChick: While she has a mean hook, she seems to prefer kicks when she isn't using claws, dropkicking Peter down the street and stomping on him with her boots.
* KickThemWhileTheyreDown: She happily stomps on Peter's face while he's groaning and on the floor from his back, shoulder, and foot injuries.
* LeaveNoWitnesses: Her M.O., leading to Izuku's confusion when she clearly knew he was there but didn't decide to kill him.
* {{Leitmotif}}: The Prowler is given [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMRsxiiCw08 Overhaul's theme]] for her introduction, emphasizing just how intimidating she is to Izuku.
* NeckLift: She picks up Izuku by the scruff of his collar when he gets in the way of her fight with Peter.
* OhCrap: Has this reaction when All Might reveals that he swiped the detonation switch she was using to hold Mount Lady hostage and threw it into another prefecture, as it's the only thing keeping him from kicking her ass.
* PowerGlows: She and whatever her gravity Quirk is affecting glows purple. Her claws glow green when activated.
* PurpleIsPowerful: The Prowler is decked out in purple and is a world-class thief skilled enough to evade even All Might under certain conditions. She goes toe-to-toe with Peter after ambushing him at the abandoned building he's living in. When they take the fight to the streets, she takes Mount Lady hostage while she whaled on Peter. By the end, only All Might can save everyone from this predicament.
* RocketBoots: The Prowler uses these to great effect against Peter, accelerating herself to slam him into the ground, performing mid-air acrobatics, and generally outmaneuvering Peter on most occasions.
* SecondaryColorNemesis: The Prowler's purple costume with green flame designs contrasts Peter's PrimaryColorChampion.
* ShockAndAwe: The Prowler's shinai can produce electricity, paralyzing those struck by it.
* SirSwearsALot: She cusses up a storm while arguing with her client over the missing spider. When she's fighting Peter, he assumes that she's spitting a flurry of Japanese curses at him given the tone of her voice.
* SuperStrength: She's strong enough to stagger the superhumanly strong and tough Peter with her blows and breaks his nose with a dropkick. She can also easily pick up Izuku, who recently gained a significant amount of muscle from the spider bite, by the scruff of his collar without a problem.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: She makes it clear to Mysterio that she doesn't like him and that she's only helping him because All For One told her to. She's constantly flippant towards him and refuses to reveal any information about herself to him.
* ThrillSeeker: She seems to be an adrenaline junkie, swan diving out of an open window to get into her bike while spreading her arms wide as if to savor the feeling off falling through the air. She also pulls off an intentionally dangerous stunt that nearly sandwiches her between her bike and a brick wall while chasing Peter through Musutafu. It's further emphasized by her outfit, which is decorated with green fire with giant kanji on the back of her jacket that read "danger" and "risk".
* WallRun: The Prowler is able to run straight up a wall as if gravity didn't affect her. She can also apply this power to her motorcycle, allowing her to ride along walls.
* WhereDoesHeGetAllThoseWonderfulToys: Prowler got most of her new equipment from Mysterio, which explains why it's so much more advanced than anything available to the Japanese government.
* WolverineClaws: The Prowler's gloves elongate into these, easily slicing through an unfinished wall as if it were made of paper. They [[PowerGlows glow green]] when activated.
* WoodenKatanasAreEvenBetter: Played with. The Prowler [[LeaveNoWitnesses doesn't leave witnesses]] and carries a collapsible metal shinai, which are traditionally made of bamboo, as one of her primary armaments, implying that she's able to bludgeon people to death with it. It's later revealed that it can also emit electricity to shock others and paralyze them.
* WouldntHurtAChild: Despite Izuku stumbling onto her and getting in her way when she is close to killing Peter, the Prowler is hesitant to physically attack Izuku. Instead, she tells him to mind his own business and threatens Izuku to back off. When they meet again, she chooses to fire a netgun at him rather than shoot him. Then it's subverted when she [[NeckLift lifts Izuku into the air by the collar]] with her WolverineClaws ready until Peter webs her in the face. Mysterio presses her on her hesitation, but she refuses to explain herself.
