* TheBusCameBack: He returns in chapter 5, trying to investigate the truth behind Nathan Mags and his syndicate. From there, he shares the protagonist role with Apollo and Athena.
* TheKirk: Out of Athena and Apollo, he's got the strongest leadership skills and tries to keep everyone together.

* HateSink: He's as disgusting and creepy as ever. He only serves a purpose to give you someone to hate right before Nathan Mags is introduced.

The victim. He was killed in the records room by Charles Fuzz during a bothched theft.

* AntiHero: He's certainly got his heart in the right place, but his methods are dangerous and his unwillingless to cooperate with even his own lawyers cause a huge amount of problems for everyone on his side.

* InformedAttribute: He's apparently talented enough to be the assistant to the CEO of one of the largest companies in the country. He's never shown to be anything but a pathetic weak coward who'll turn coat at the slightest provacation.

* WalkingSpoiler: Him being a murderer adds another level of detestibility to him, showing that almost nobody in Nathan Mags' syndicate is a moral member of society.

A Judge on Nathan Mags' payroll. He presides over every case that has an unjust verdict, due to the regular Judge being incorrupable. To show that he is a loathesome monster, he sports a full head of hair.

* KarmaHoudini: He never gets in trouble for accepting bribes and handing out wrongful verdicts depspite evidence of the defendant's guilt or innocence contradicting said verdicts. The worst thing that happens to him is getting scolded by Athena and booed by the gallery.

* TheChessmaster: He's a fantastic planner. He's studied and inserted himself into the mob, using his knowledge of their structure to propell himself high into their ranks in a very short amount of time. He funds their empire to get on their good graces while also cracking down on the weak links in his ranks, manipulating his henchmen into killing his problem minions then killing them before they can implicate him in the murders. He's got law enforcement officials in his pocket, as well as buisness connections aplenty, meaning he's able to keep afloat even with Interpol breathing down his neck. The main reason he's caught is because there's enough crimes he's responsible for that he could be arrested a hundred times over.

* DrunkWithPower: His first action after becoming a successful buisnessman is to take control of the criminal underworld and murder all his enemies.

* EvilIsPetty: He decides to betray Wade Waters by helping catch him because he's upset that he got caught before him. His reasons for doing this are anything but alturistic, being purely self serving.

** Even when he's "helping" Apollo, he's still entirely smug and self serving, and spends his testimony gaslighting and manipulating everyone to do his dirty work for him. He comes across as just as odious as he does before, despite being far less dangerous by this point.

* BlindObediance: She unwillingly helps Nathan Mags get away with many of his crimes due to never questioning the purpose of his actions.

* AffablyEvil: Well, evil is a stretch, but he's a collected and friendly guy who succumbed to greed in the worst possible moment. It makes it all the more sad when he's arrested for a murder he's clearly innocent for, as he was a petty thief at the very worst.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: His parents died and him and his younger brother were orphans struggling to survive. The two of them were forced to turn to crimes to look after themselves, with Nathan Mags taking them under his wing. This lead to them getting sucked into the mob, with Marlo eventually being wrongfully executed for a murder he didn't commit.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: He utterly despises Nathan Mags due to how evil he is and only antagonises people as morally bankrupt as himself, being one of the few villains in the game who doesn't intentionally harm an innocent person either physically (such as Charles Fuzz and Nathan Mags) or by his actions (such as the Vito and Tristian Rivales.)

* EvilGenius: He's an extremely cunning and capable criminal, taking months to take down even with some of the most capable law enforcement officals and a criminal mastermind on his tail.

* FakeBrit: An in universe example. He's not British.

* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: On the recieving end of this trope. He's given this speech by Franziska Von Karma to snap him out of one of his darkest moments. It ends up working.

* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: On the recieving end of this. Athena compliments his baking and tells him she agrees and approves of his decisions. Big Wins is stunned but thankful for this confirmation.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: A 19 year old who has been sheltered his entire life likely won't make a good mobster, due to all the intricacies and unwritten rules that go with being a mob boss. He predictably crashes and burns when all his supporters abandon him, as Apollo has already taken down far more cunning men than him by this point.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Most people wouldn't cope well after seeing a dead body, no matter how tough they may appear. Especially a person who has never seen a corpse before.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Like Anne Tea, she's not accustomed to brutal crimes, and despite being a stoic person, she's not able to keep her composure when detailing a particuarly violent crime, slipping up and getting the two murders she witnessed messed up due to the mental toll these experiences have taken on her.

* TeensAreShort: She's had a growth spurt like in canon, though is still much shorter than most teenagers her age are.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Holding someone at gunpoint to extract a confession from them is definitely beyond what is legal for a prosecutor to do, but the victim of his interrogation is a murderer who is willing to let an innocent man take the fall for a crime they themselves committed.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: With the son being his own and the bitch being him. Disinheriting your own son is a rather cruel and inconsiderate thing to do, but Tristan is clearly woefully inept at leading a powerful criminal syndicate, making the act come off as understandable.

* PeekABangs: Well, he's a matt Engarde expy after all.

* OverprotectiveDad: He attempts to pull the load for his son, which leaves Tristan unable to carry himself without Vito providing for him. This seals both of their fates.

* WhipItGood: Even a decade later, this is still her go to method for dealing with those who annoy her.

* TheChick: She's the sole female attorney in the game.

* AmbiguousDisorder: This version of Apollo almost seems like he has depression of PTSD. He's become withdrawn and hard to interact with, lost any sense of self preservation, blames himself for the terrible things that have happened around him, and is far more short tempered and blunt with others. This would be expected when people like Kristoph Gavin (in canon) and Nathan Mags (in this game) are some of the men he's had to go up against in court.

* AmbiguousDisorder: He's all but implied to have antisocial personality disorder and narcissistic personality disorder.
** People with Antisocial personality disorder are generally charming and polite, yet extremely self absorbed, manupulative, and not above breaking the law to serve their own means. They also tend to enjoy or at least be ambivient human suffering. Nathan Mags fits all this criteria. He's not impulsive though, hinting that he's probably a high functioning example.
** People with narcissistic personality disorder tend to be quite extravagant, smarmy, vain, and selfish. Mags' desire for power and need for recognition also hint deeply at this.

* NiceHat: Her light blue hat is always resting on her head, since Mr Hat doesn't show up in this game.

* NiceHat: He dons a pretty dapper hat in all his appearances.

* NiceHat: He has a fancy top hat to go with his sophisticated appearance.
