* MakingASplash: The true nature of Mental Out is actually the ability to manipulate fluids and moisture in the user's surroundings. Unlike Hydro Hand which is another liquid control ability, Mental Out trades out sheer power for more fine-tune control over a smaller amount of fluids. Using Mental Out, Misaki can precisely manipulate a target's bodily fluids like blood, spinal fluids, and cerebral secretions in order to facilitate her mental powers over them. This does not however means she is only limited to manipulating body fluids. As stated, Mental Out grants Misaki fine control over all liquids and moisture in her surroundings, she can theoretically do things like freeze the moisture around her or control liquids in more traditional manners, but she is unlikely to rely on that aspect of her power.

* StoryBreakerPower: She loves Touma, is a decent enough person [[EveryoneHasStandards in her own way]], seems to have a lot of free time and is at least in contact with Mikoto on a fairly regular basis. However, her powers give her complete, instant and unresistable control over anyone she targets, so long as they aren't moving too quickly for her to hit, an electromaster or mind control esper or wearing very specialized gear (though some magicians have safeguards in place as well). She could, in theory, defeat the likes of Fiamma in a straight confrontation unless he killed her immediately. See the problem? Not only is this too strong of an ability for an ally, but it's really too powerful even for an ''enemy'' to have, so her power can't be put together with a machine like Mikoto. It's somewhat lampshaded during the "Indian Poker" arc, when Junko points out that if Misaki and Mikoto decided to work together on anything, they would be a nigh-unstoppable crime duo thanks to their ability to mess with the memories of others as well as mess with any and all security footage.

* HappinessInSlavery: Her idea of a perfect dream and way to bond with Mikoto is a two part dream. The first part is about Gekota, so well done there. The second part is making the dreamer work as Misaki's slave. Mikoto wakes up the next morning horrified but unable to actually be angry since she meant entirely well.

* NiceGirl: She's very friendly and well meaning and manages to be friends with both Mikoto and Misaki. Unfortunately, she lacks the aggressive edge of either of them and is intimidated by both when they get angry, despite being older.

* OddFriendship: During the Level Six Mikoto project she's tasked by Misaki with stalling Mikoto and does a rather good job simply by talking about shared interests. Afterwards they're shown talking again, meaning Junko really did want to be friends. She even gives Mikoto lessons in ''Astral Buddy'' on how to use her electricity to strengthen her body.

* LaserBlade: Iruka can use her esper power to turn a flashlight into a laser sword that can easily cut through steel beams.
* LightEmUp: Iruka's power allows her to manipulate, amplify and focus light. She normally uses this to turn simple tools like laser pointers into weapons by weaponizing the light they produce and turning it into [[EnergyWeapon lasers]].
* MeaningfulName: She's an archer and her surname means "bow and arrow".

* BigBrotherWorship: Greatly idolizes her brother, Seigo.

If there is one reason why you don't break Tokiwadai's rules, this woman is that reason. As Supervisor of Tokiwadai, it's her job to make sure the tenants don't break the rules, and she provides plenty of reason to keep them from doing so. Though a mere Level 0, her skills in "subduing" (i.e., NeckSnap) troublemakers are... effective. She can and she ''will'' find out which rules were broken, and she will always be there to administer her brand of discipline.
