*** The same thing applies if you pick a female protagonist in the UsefulNotes/PlayStationPortable version of the game: while he's seemingly aloof, [[BigManOnCampus Akihiko]] is actually a rather awkward, affable, and [[BigBrotherInstinct caring]] Betty, while the brooding and [[SugarAndIcePersonality unfriendly]] yet ultimately [[BruiserWithASoftCenter gentle]] Shinjiro is the Veronica. While both are similar in hiding their softer sides, Akihiko is more open and friendly than Shinjiro is. The plot important Ryoji Mochizuki is a Cheryl Blossom type ThirdOptionLoveInterest for the Female Protagonist, however he also has elements of a Veronica type in contrast to Akihiko.

* ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'' has an unresolved ShipTease triangle with [[TallDarkAndSnarky Jin]] [[SociopathicHero Kisaragi]] (the Archie) and his two [[MoralityPet Morality Pets]], Tsubaki Yayoi (the Betty) and Makoto Nanaya (the Veronica). They're [[RedOniBlueOni complete opposites]] in every respect: Tsubaki is the daughter of nobility, Makoto is from a large working-class family; Tsubaki [[TokenWholesome dresses modestly]], Makoto [[{{Stripperiffic}} doesn't]]; Tsubaki was an honour-student, Makoto is [[BookDumb somewhat]] [[IdiotHero dim]]; Tsubaki is [[TheStoic quiet and reserved]], Makoto is [[HotBlooded loud and impulsive]]; Tsubaki is a human with [[HeroesPreferRedheads red hair]] and blue eyes, Makoto is a [[CuteMonsterGirl Squirrel]] [[LittleBitBeastly Beastkin]] with chestnut brown hair and eyes to match; Tsubaki fights with a short sword and [[LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe shield]] combo and fights with [[LadyOfWar grace and elegance]], Makoto fights with tonfas and relies on [[LightningBruiser brute strength, speed]] and [[CombatPragmatist trickery]]. This extends into their present-day story interactions with Jin, as well - Tsubaki [[spoiler:takes on an order to "bring him in" (read: ''kill Jin'', but she doesn't know that), and fights him in his story and hers]], while Makoto [[spoiler:watches over him in Ronin-gai after he sustains injuries guarding her from Hazama (his story) or overextends himself getting her to safety after she fights Hazama (her story).]] Another typically-unseen take on this trope is that Makoto actually {{ship|perOnDeck}}s Jin with Tsubaki.

* ''VideoGame/TheWitcher'' features both [[HeroesWantRedheads redheaded love interests]]; Shani, TheMedic who wants to protect the [[LivingMacGuffin child]] and Triss the high society mage who wants to use him, but is better capable of controlling keeping his power under control.

** ''VideoGame/HyruleWarriors'' had Lana the excitable, optimistic sorceress as the Betty (who has a thing for Link, but never tells him) and the [[EvilIsSexy dark]] and [[MsFanservice sultry]] witch Cia (whose desire for Link is her entire motivation) as the Veronica. They turn out to be [[spoiler: two halves of the same person.]]

** ''VideoGame/DragonQuestV'': Remakes did this when the player has to choose between three women to marry. The Betty and Veronica in this situation is sweet childhood friend Bianca and tsundere rich brat Deborah respectively (remakes, because Deborah was not in the original). In the original, Nera was the Veronica but Debora has a more Veronica personality, putting Nera somewhere in the middle.

* ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog'' has a few cases of this, most notably with the outgoing and flirtatious [[StalkerWithaCrush Amy]] (Veronica), to the shy and reserved [[DefrostingIceQueen Blaze]] (Betty). In ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2006'', shy and introverted Elise is the Betty to Amy's outspoken and independent Veronica.

* In ''VideoGame/SpiderManWebOfShadows'', ComicBook/MaryJane and ComicBook/BlackCat compete indirectly over Franchise/SpiderMan's affections, with Mary Jane wanting him to lead a normal life and Black Cat wanting him to turn to the dark side.

* ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog'' has a few cases of this, most notably with the outgoing and flirtatious Amy (Veronica), to the shy and reserved Blaze (Betty). In ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2006'', shy and introverted Elise is the Betty to Amy's outspoken and independent Veronica.

*** Felicia would be the Male Avatar's Betty, being the CuteClumsyGirl he grew up with, and Azura the Veronica, being the MysteriousWaif he feels oddly drawn to. FarmGirl Mozu would the ThirdOptionLoveInterest, as she's an optionally recruited character he has no story ties to.
*** In ''Birthright'' and ''Revelation'', Jakob would be the Female Avatar's Betty, as like Felicia he also grew up with her, and Kaze the Veronica, being the [[MarriedToTheJob reclusive]] ninja of an enemy nation (though their personalities mix it up -- [[{{Tsundere}} Jakob]] is more Veronica, and [[NiceGuy Kaze]] is more Betty). Silas has shades of the Betty, being her ForgottenChildhoodFriend, but is ultimately the ThirdOptionLoveInterest, as he's the last one she "meets". ''Conquest'' switches Kaze and Silas's places as the Cheryl Blossom and Betty respectively, being that despite Kaze being introduced earlier, Silas has been around the Avatar longer due to Kaze temporarily leaving the party. Shura can be a potential ThirdOptionLoveInterest too, as he joins the groups after Silas' recruitment in all paths.

* ''VideoGame/BaldursGateII'': If one has two or more of the female love interests in the party, ''multiple'' Betty and Veronica scenarios can exist. Sweet, innocent Aerie is definitely the most Betty-ish, with no-nonsense old friend but world-wise warrior Jaheira being somewhere between the two, and darkly exotic rogue drow Viconia being firmly a Veronica. (Alternatively, with all three--and it is possible to start a romance with all three, though obviously not finish it that way--one might be said to have a Betty, Veronica, and [[ThirdOptionLoveInterest Cheryl]] situation, except there are no three-way fights over you, just two-way.)
** The Enhanced Edition of the game adds the awkward, goofy Neera. Definitely a Betty, but less so than Aerie.

** The series allows the player to choose from empathic and scholarly Liara T'Soni (Betty) and spunky ActionGirl Ashley Williams (Veronica). These roles can justifiably be reversed when you consider that Ashley is a [[BadassNormal regular human]] and Liara belongs to an exotic race of [[PsychicPowers psychic aliens]] who reproduce by banging very nearly [[AnythingThatMoves everything that moves]]. The two will eventually confront one another, and you, if you don't turn one of them down.
