* Metroid music works well as {{Eurobeat}} - Dominic Ninmark's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkDR5OckDfA Upper Brinstar]] eurobeat remix turns it into a brisk, high-energy song, worthy of randomizer races when you finally collect everything needed and enter "Go Mode", blazing through the rest of the game like you're trying to test the Speed Booster to its limits. It has parts of Ridley's theme and the Escape theme worked into it to add some variety.

It sounds like something straight out of the ''Metroid Prime'' series and really does hold its own as an atmospheric track. Shame it only plays in one room.

* Oddly enough, the mini-boss theme from ''Hunters'' of all games got a remix named after the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfDs74x13C0 Psycho Bits]] in ''Smash 4'' too. And it surprisingly works!

* Sam Dillard really hit it out of the park on this one. [[https://youtu.be/kbIn-dcqCVw Into the Green World]] is an incredible symphonic remix of Green Brinstar. He also did a medley of various ending themes called [[https://youtu.be/ojSJfw7p0CM Ending Suite]], and a mix of Red Brinstar and Kraid's Lair called [[https://youtu.be/r8if6B_cpGw Crimson Depths]]. Then in the 101% Run album he did Maridia's theme in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXNLiV5U55s Beyond the Glass]]. And this was all done with ''midi'' technology, no real instruments!

* Mozzaratti's [[https://youtu.be/bu7wjWXWsVc Kraid Incoming]] is an impressive remix of the ''Super Metroid'' pre-boss tension theme and Kraid's battle theme, resulting in something that sounds straight out of a movie soundtrack.

* Mazedude's [[https://youtu.be/jL1ItmKrKPY Parasite-X]] is an incredibly interesting take on the Parasite Queen's theme, sounding jazzy enough to not be out of place in ''VideoGame/{{Earthbound}}'' of all games.

* Voltro's [[https://soundcloud.com/nate-hubbard/metroid Metroid]] is a fun hip-hop remix of Red Brinstar. It uses the sound of Samus' flips as a beat, which is a brilliant concept.

* The theme for the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULJCAtxEZgc Chozo Laboratory]] (also used in the E3 2017 trailer for ''Samus Returns'') is perhaps Daisuke Matsuoka's best work yet, being an exciting track that blends together elements of other songs from the ''Metroid'' series, including Samus' theme.

It is especially memorable due to being one of the few songs in the game that has an actual melody instead of being mostly ambience. The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfWL06NTTuE remix]] from ''Samus Returns'' starts with the ambience of the Chozo Ruins from ''Prime'' before building up to the upbeatness of the original track.

* Voltro's [[https://soundcloud.com/nate-hubbard/metroid Metroid]] is a fun hip-hop beat remix of Red Brinstar.

* The theme of [[https://youtu.be/4yNghHjdBDE Phaaze]] is the climax of the Phazon themes, sounding more alien and mysterious and truly surrounding you in the blue glow of its radiation. Samus is truly in the belly of the beast at this point, encountering more new wildlife in quick succession than ever before.
* The final boss, [[https://youtu.be/foaNVrvhpnM Aurora Unit 313]], takes Dark Samus's battle music and mixes it into a foreboding theme reminiscent of those of Mother Brain. And then the second phase [[https://youtu.be/yLogHXFIEdA kicks it up a notch]] as you race to finish it off.

* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gg1rLTV88w Rhedogian's theme]] is fittingly exciting and has one of the clearest tunes out of all the ''Other M'' battle themes. The guy will [[RecurringBoss show up a lot]] during your playthrough too, so be ready to hear this banger on multiple occasions.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEA1UrSBZ0M Bryyo Ice]], one of the most mysterious locations in the game, has a fittingly mysterious theme, sounding quite similar to Phendrana Drifts from the first ''Prime''.

* The surprise remix of Crateria's Caves for the [[https://youtu.be/zdTVDJbffZQ Pirate Homeworld]] was an unexpected but certainly welcome one. It also means that both of the Space Pirate themes can finally be in one game - fittingly, it plays during another stealth segment too.

* The rather annoyingly-catchy theme of the [[https://youtu.be/TblxPu9JB2U Parasite Queen]]. The song absolutely screams ''Metroid Prime'', making heavy use of the synth strings, hard-hitting basses, and unique snares and percussion that we've all come to expect from the series. If you listen with headphones you'll also notice there's an electric guitar in the background starting around 0:35, which is easy to miss when playing the game on a television. Pity how one of the game's best tracks is used with the first (and easiest) boss... but hey, it got into ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros''!

* While not the most musically-stimulating, the themes for locations in Dark Aether are all very effective, thrusting you into the abyss of shadows. The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYeQ9E8aNvY Ing Hive]] has arguably the best one, perfectly combining the frightening, droning ambience of Dark Aether with the whistle-like synth of the Sanctuary Fortress.

* After ''Zero Mission'''s Zero Suit segment, in which you've been hiding and running from Space Pirates, Samus finally gets her Power Suit back, and it's more powerful than ever. Cue the [[https://youtu.be/jBOE2zMxFgw AWESOME jam]], and [[WebVideo/SomeCallMeJohnny it's time to kick. Some. ASS.]]

His [[https://youtu.be/KMhn4IKeRRo take]] on Ridley's theme, written to celebrate the Space Pirate's playable status in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate'', is a suitably menacing, ''badass'' piece that even incorporates Ridley's Lair at one point.

* The hilarious yet touching [[https://youtu.be/vq_u1skc6Vk Kraid's Campfire Ballad]] by Sebastian Mårtensson feat. Kristin Björkebäck makes Samus feel like a cowboy fighting outlaws in the old west.

* Another Sam Dillard masterpiece is [[https://youtu.be/r8if6B_cpGw Crimson Depths,]] seamlessly blending together "Kraid's Lair" and "Red Soil/Red Brinstar" and perfectly capturing the mystery and beauty of an alien world.
* And, in 101% Run, Sam Dillard delivers yet another masterpiece in the form of [[https://youtu.be/HaQwZvaJ45Y Beyond The Glass]], which takes the soothing Maridia theme and makes it a dark, ominous, dramatic, and foreboding piece of music.
