* A RealLife example - In 2010, the UK's ''Official [=PlayStation=] Magazine'' held a poll for the readers to vote for the best [=PlayStation=] game across all three home consoles since 1995 - ''Uncharted 2: Among Thieves'' was at the top of the list, with ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid'' and ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII'' at numbers two & three respectively. Think about that.
* Another Real Life one - When one thinks of Uncharted, they most likely think "The best Franchise/IndianaJones game ever." This in mind, how does Sony advertise Uncharted 3? [[Franchise/IndianaJones Harrison Goddamn Ford.]]
** That's right folks, it's Indy-approved!!

!! ''Drake's Fortune'':
* The final battle with Nate against [[spoiler:Navarro]] and his mercenaries, which culminates in Nate [[spoiler:rescuing Elena]], then [[spoiler:pushing the helicopter off the tanker with the chain snagging Navarro and dragging him to his death]].

!! ''Among Thieves'':
* Elena shows [[TookALevelInBadass just where she spent the EXP she earned]] in ''Drake's Fortune'' and punches Flynn in the face even though he's pointing a gun at her face and her cameraman was just killed.
* And another one for Elena towards the end of the game, where she stands her ground against the BigBad who is not only about two heads taller than her, but also happens to be pointing his gun in Nate's face at the time. [[spoiler: Nate has to actually talk her down.]]
** The standoff itself is enough on its own, but then she charges Lazarević with an unflinching [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome "BACK OFF!"]]. She may be small, but she certainly packs a punch.
* Nathan is fighting some sort of Yeti creature and can't win. What does Tenzin do? He jumps on the Yeti's back and stabs it to death with his knife several times.
* Nate's battle with Lazarević, definitely. [[spoiler: Lazarević has drank the sap of the Tree of Life, making him virtually invincible. Does Nate run away in fear? No. [[BigDamnHeroes He kicks his ass.]]]]
* The TraintopBattle. [[ThatOneLevel As hard as it is,]] [[BestLevelEver holy CRAP the traintop battle.]]
* From the developers -- the point at which you realize that the opening scene takes place in the middle of the game, rather than towards the end.

!! ''Drake's Deception'':
* Chapters 2 and 3 where you play as [[spoiler: Nate as a child]]. From tailing Sully in a crowded marketplace to an awesome rooftop chase set to [[https://youtu.be/fpzg1I5tFBs?t=1m55s a fitting, pulsating tune]], it's a fantastic change of pace that also fills in the blanks on the relationship that is arguably the heart of the series.
* Drake and Charlie are stuck ducking behind cover from a small army's worth of snipers and other bad guys. [[BigDamnHeroes Enter Sully with a rocket launcher to clear out a good portion himself.]]
* Rescuing Sully. It has to be played just to see how amazing it is. [[spoiler: Even if he was never captured in the first place.]]
* Nate's been drugged and captured. He's fought his way through a ship graveyard infested with pirates all on his own. He's washed up ashore, exhausted and injured. His first thought? [[spoiler: Go rescue Sully. It's Elena who makes him lie down and rest.]] Made even more awesome by the fact Elena was ready to do the same thing if Nate hadn't shown up.
* The entire plane level is pretty cool, but the most awesome part has to be as it's falling apart, and Nate gets sucked out...but survives by grabbing hold of a cargo crate and releasing the parachute, all while in mid-air! Seriously, only Nate could think fast enough in that situation to figure out how to survive.
* From a narrative and artistic standpoint, the entire sequence of Nate [[spoiler: getting lost and slowly dying in the Rub' al Khali desert]].
* Remember how Goddamn amazing the finale of the second game was? [[UpToEleven This finale tops it]], looking like something from ''Film/TheMummyTrilogy'' at times.
--> '''Sully:''' Three bullets?! How the hell did you do ''all this'' with ''THREE GODDAMN BULLETS''!?
* Feel disappointed you didn't get to fight Eddy Raja or Harry Flynn? Don't worry -- you get to fight Eddy, Harry, ''and'' Lazarevic ''all at once'' in the final co-op adventure mission!
* Cutter evening out a four-on-four MexicanStandoff by [[spoiler: pretending to still be under the influence of the hypnotic drug and then mowing down three of the guys when they let their guard down]].

!! ''A Thief's End'':
* The E3 2015 demo. Nate and Sully go from a shootout to a car chase through a Madagascan town in a setpiece that's up there with anything from ''Among Thieves''.
* [[spoiler: At a certain point of the game, you can actually play the first Crash Bandicoot on a [=PS1=]. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgVGjDETOF0 No. Kidding.]]]]
* Being the last of Uncharted series (or for Nathan's story, atleast), Naughty Dog made sure to out do themselves in technical graphic aspect and [[SceneryPorn various eye-candies]] the team crammed into the game from the start to epilogue. From the details on little treasures Nate collects, to mud tracks, to breathtaking vistas and the building interiors of [[spoiler:Libertalia]]... ''Sic parvis magna''.
** To give an example: if you shoot at sliding slopes in Scotland level, the pebble on the surface will react to the impact and physics ''independently''. Talk about going extra mile.
* [[spoiler:Elena followed Nate to Madagascar]] even though it's clear that the place is crawling with Shoreline mercs. [[OffscreenMomentOfAwesome One have to wonder what did she do to get that car]]...
* The city [[spoiler:Libertalia, a full-fledged European town]] hidden deep [[spoiler:inside Madagascar]], complete with [[spoiler:huge manors and its own commercial district]]. Later on you have to fight [[spoiler:Shoreline mercenaries]] as the town is falling apart, revealing [[SceneryPorn vast skyline and massive cliff side deep down below you]], as if you're in a mythical [[spoiler:flying city!]]
* Nadine Ross is a villainous walking moment of awesome.
** In the two appearances in which she engages in a fist fight with Nate, and later a two-on-one fight with both Drake brothers, [[spoiler: she knocks them around like it's child's play for her.]]
*** This sets up a small moment for Nate; in the second fight, Nadine [[spoiler:kicks him out of a window again, leaving Sam all but defenseless against her. Nate manages to climb back into the room to a higher vantage point using his grappling hook, then saves Sam from a headlock by jumping down and ''punching Nadine through the floor.'']]
** Later when she [[spoiler: has finally had enough and decides to cut and run, she points out to Nate, Sully and her client Rafe, how Avery and Tew murdered each other over the loot]], before proceeding to pull off a simple, yet cutting ScrewThisImOutOfHere which sends her erstwhile partner over the edge.
--> '''Nadine:''' Oh, I'm just leaving. Whether [[spoiler: you die or not, I don't really care.]]
** What makes this even more awesome is that she, the hired mercenary of all people [[spoiler: has a strong enough will to resist the temptation posed by Avery's treasure]], and unlike many Uncharted villains before her [[spoiler: be smart enough to walk away from a titanic pay day and let Avery's treasure go.]] It makes her the only Uncharted villain to have survived in the franchise.
* The BossBattle with Rafe: [[spoiler: Nate finds Rafe in Avery's ship's hold, surrounded by what was likely eight figures worth of treasure as well as the bodies of Avery and Tew, each with swords in their chests after killing each other in a greedy rage, and Sam is knocked out under a beam. Nate initially wants Rafe's help to both free Sam and escape the burning ship, but Rafe has gone off the deep end entirely and pulls out the cutlass in Avery's chest and attempts to kill Nate once and for all. Nate pulls the other cutlass out of Tew, and they engage in an honest-to-goodness ''swordfight!!!'' What better way to end a pirate-themed game?]]
** Rafe has Nate at his mercy, [[spoiler: having broken Nate's sword, and right as he's about to finish Nate off, Nate grabs the severed blade and cuts a rope, dropping a full net of loot on Rafe's head.]]
*** Though he suffered a bout of [[spoiler: BondVillainStupidity that ultimately did him in, monologuing instead of just killing Nate, Rafe nevertheless [[NearVillainVictory came the closest to killing Nate]] of any of the series' other villains.]]

!! ''Golden Abyss'':
* Nate's fight with Guerro, depending on how well you respond to the motion prompts, you get to watch Nate kick his ass almost effortlessly, and then at the end he throws Guerro onto a bridge, which collapses, sending him to his death.
