* Peter Weyland at TED 2023. Only Guy Pearce standing on a stage (and in front of a green screen) cutting loose for several minutes in a speech about how Mankind has technologically evolved from the discovery of fire until (his) present day. LargeHam? Maybe. VisionaryVillain? DEFINITELY. It's one of the biggest reasons why [[spoiler:his incredibly short appearance in the actual film under a hefty amount of 'old man' makeup]] is so disputed by critics as a waste of a perfectly good actor.
* A couple of random crewmen managing to kill the goo infected [[spoiler: Fifield]] by running setting him on fire and running him over with the transport vehicle.
* Vickers "a King has his reign" speech to [[spoiler: her father]]. It's a pretty satisfying TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to the person responsible for everything bad in the movie.

** Even better, it's a TRYS speech for the person partly, if not mostly, responsible for everything bad that happens in the series (as it's his ego, which lead to the creation of the company, and self-centeredness to try to get an extension on his life that lead to many deaths years after his own passing).

* Vickers "a King has his reign" speech to [[spoiler: her father]]. It's a pretty satisfying TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to the person responsible for everything bad in the movie.

Made even more awesome when Janek orders Chance and Ravel to get on the lifeboat but they turn him down and go down with the ship. The way they choose to embrace it is also pretty awesome:

* Lets face it, after putting up with FantasticRacism from everyone he talked to (especially Holloway), who didn't feel a bit of joy watching David trick Holloway into giving "consent" to become an unwitting test subject?

* Elizabeth Shaw, in the scene where [[spoiler:she finds out that the [=MedPod=] doesn't do C-sections, and promptly figures out how to get it to take the Thing out of her body. While coming out of sedation an unknown amount of time ago, in terrible pain, and just barely managing to hold off panic.]]
