''Awesome/Pikmin4''

** Not to mention the Ship's final appraisal of the collapsed digger at a whopping ''one quadrillion'' Pokos with seven extra for the Bulborb carcass buried beneath it. Not only is Olimar sitting on a goldmine of scrap by the end of the short, he's also got a completely safe workplace to harvest it in.
* After all the things it's been through, from crash-landing on the same planet ''three'' times to being sold by the President to help repay Hocotate Freight's debt, seeing the S.S. Dolphin soar into the stars once more alongside the S.S. Shepherd is a sight to behold.
* The final battle against the Ancient Sirehound in ''4''. You, your pikmin, and Oatchi in a massive, five-stage boss fight against a multi-elemental beast being controlled by an irate Louie in a duel of captains and mounts. The epic mood of the fight is amplified by getting a rock-style battle theme.

Added more on Pikmin 1's good ending.

* Admit it. The Pikmin learning how to take care of themselves and then proceeding to attack a Bulborb at night was awesome! This also carries over to Pikmin 2 as your [[CallBack first encounter with Pikmin are some red Pikmin fighting a Dwarf Bulborb just near where the ship landed.]]

* Admit it. ''VideoGame/Pikmin2001'''s GoldenEnding. The entire game, Olimar is stranded on a hostile alien world with creatures out to kill him, and an unbreathable atmosphere that threatens to poison him if he can't re-assemble his ship. His only allies are the Pikmin learning how that were driven to take care of near extinction by the same wildlife. But he doesn't give up, and after a long and arduous journey with the Pikmin at his side, they manage to get all 30 ship parts and repair the S.S. Dolphin. When he finally departs, he expresses his gratitude to the Pikmin and [[ButNowIMustGo waves them goodbye]], and having learned from his leadership, they finally can defend themselves and then proceeding to attack a Bulborb at night was awesome! This against the hostile wildlife.[[note]]This also carries over to Pikmin 2 as your [[CallBack first encounter with Pikmin are some red Pikmin fighting a Dwarf Bulborb just near where the ship landed.]]]][[/note]] [[EarnYourHappyEnding And when Olimar flies off to finally return home to Hocotate, a great many Onions fly in the sky to show their gratitude and assure him that the Pikmin will thrive now because of his actions.]] It's an incredibly satisfying conclusion that turns feelings of fear and disempowerment towards satisfaction and accomplishment.

* Finally getting revenge on the Waterwraith. The Waterwraith is a [[EldritchAbomination amoeba like Eldritch Abomination that attacks by steamrolling your Pikmin with giant rock pillars]] from a creepy dungeon in the second game that [[NightmareFuel terrorizes]] many players with its ability to [[TotalPartyKill kill all your Pikmin in a single attack]]; [[ParanoiaFuel it can appear at any moment with a]] [[ScareChord Scare Chord]], and the first time it appears the CPU of your spaceship detects its Eldritch nature and is clearly shocked by it. After being [[BringMyBrownPants scared shitless]] by it, you fight it as the boss of the dungeon. The fight is VERY [[AnticlimaxBoss anticlimatic]]: right before the fight, you can get some [[GameBreaker overpowered Purple Pikmin]], that are the only thing that can bring it down. They do so in a [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments hilarious]] way: if you throw them at the Waterwraith, they break its only means of attack - the pillars. They turn him purple, and he proceeds to run away around the arena, as HE is terrorized by the power of your Pikmin.

It's even better when he returns in ''4'', which is identical except for one minor detail: This is very likely the first time in the game you get to use Purple Pikmin at all. You don't just humiliate him, you essentially turn him from an unstoppable killing machine into a ''tutorial''.

** A few of the Pikmin accidentally bump into a blowhog. The yellows and blues run for it, while the one red stands its ground and, with the help of another red, jumps on it and steers it into a mud puddle, rendering it harmless. Even though Red Pikmin have the obvious advantage of being fireproof, it's still a pretty awesome scene.

** In a similar manner, beating the crap out of Emperor Bulblax with Purple Pikmin is this for the same reason. One can feel a sense of catharsis (especially if he used to give them a hard time) to see Emperor Bulblax, who was [[NightmareFuel/{{Pikmin}} such a terrifying superpredator and final boss]] in the first game that could easily kill/eat all of your Pikmin in one fell swoop and can take almost an '''''entire''''' in-game day to kill, being reduced to a mere [[AntiClimaxBoss joke boss]] thanks to some [[KevLard chubby]] [[PuniPlush Pikmin]].

*** Made even better by the implications that the Pikmin are learning to defend themselves with more advanced tactics than just swarming. They've managed to figure out individual strengths based on color and immunity, which, compared to Pikmin behavior before Olimar showed up, is a massive step forward.
* Meta example would be the sheer amount of taxonomical effort Nintendo put in 2 and 3’s Piklopedia.
* Meta example: [[https://www.youtube.com/c/Pikman6000/videos Pikman6000 playing Pikmin nonstop until Pikmin 4 comes out.]] You have to respect the sheer balls on this guy.

Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

* The Vehemoth Phosbat boss fight is pretty epic, too. Using Yellow Pikmin to power up lightbulbs to weaken the boss is pretty cool. Having them start up [[UpToEleven a car battery]] to light up the entire room is incredible badass! And to top it off, the fight ends with Captain Charlie lifting open the beast's mouth to exit it, not a scratch on him.

* For Pikmin types, Pikmin 3 implies that Yellow Pikmin might be the most successful species of the original three. Besides having the most versatile abilities of the original 3 (Can be thrown high, be immune to electricity, carry bomb rocks again, and generate their own electricity), and while you only find four Reds at the start of the game and Blue Pikmin had seemingly gone extinct again, you find a colony of '''''30''''' of these guys at the start of the game, implying that out of the primary three, they're the ones who are the most successful to surviving without a leader.
