''Awesome/Pikmin4''
* ''VideoGame/Pikmin2001'''s GoldenEnding. The entire game, Olimar is stranded on a hostile alien world with creatures out to kill him, and an unbreathable atmosphere that threatens to poison him if he can't re-assemble his ship. His only allies are the Pikmin that were driven to near extinction by the same wildlife. But he doesn't give up, and after a long and arduous journey with the Pikmin at his side, they manage to get all 30 ship parts and repair the S.S. Dolphin. When he finally departs, he expresses his gratitude to the Pikmin and [[ButNowIMustGo waves them goodbye]], and having learned from his leadership, they finally can defend themselves against the hostile wildlife.[[note]]This also carries over to Pikmin 2 as your [[CallBack first encounter with Pikmin are some red Pikmin fighting a Dwarf Bulborb just near where the ship landed.]][[/note]] [[EarnYourHappyEnding And when Olimar flies off to finally return home to Hocotate, a great many Onions fly in the sky to show their gratitude and assure him that the Pikmin will thrive now because of his actions.]] It's an incredibly satisfying conclusion that turns feelings of fear and disempowerment towards satisfaction and accomplishment.
* Finally getting revenge on the Waterwraith. The Waterwraith is a [[EldritchAbomination amoeba like Eldritch Abomination that attacks by steamrolling your Pikmin with giant rock pillars]] from a creepy dungeon in the second game that [[NightmareFuel terrorizes]] many players with its ability to [[TotalPartyKill kill all your Pikmin in a single attack]]; [[ParanoiaFuel it can appear at any moment with a]] [[ScareChord Scare Chord]], and the first time it appears the CPU of your spaceship detects its Eldritch nature and is clearly shocked by it. After being [[BringMyBrownPants scared shitless]] by it, you fight it as the boss of the dungeon. The fight is VERY [[AnticlimaxBoss anticlimatic]]: right before the fight, you can get some [[GameBreaker overpowered Purple Pikmin]], that are the only thing that can bring it down. They do so in a [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments hilarious]] way: if you throw them at the Waterwraith, they break its only means of attack - the pillars. They turn him purple, and he proceeds to run away around the arena, as HE is terrorized by the power of your Pikmin. It's even better when he returns in ''4'', which is identical except for one minor detail: This is very likely the first time in the game you get to use Purple Pikmin at all. You don't just humiliate him, you essentially turn him from an unstoppable killing machine into a ''tutorial''.
* Beating the crap out of Emperor Bulblax with Purple Pikmin. One can feel a sense of catharsis (especially if he used to give them a hard time) to see Emperor Bulblax, who was [[NightmareFuel/{{Pikmin}} such a terrifying superpredator and final boss]] in the first game that could easily kill/eat all of your Pikmin in one fell swoop and can take almost an '''''entire''''' in-game day to kill, being reduced to a mere [[AntiClimaxBoss joke boss]] thanks to some [[KevLard chubby]] [[PuniPlush Pikmin]].
* Mixed with [[NightmareFuel/{{Pikmin}} Nightmare Fuel]] and [[BlackComedy Black]] [[Funny/{{Pikmin}} Comedy]], but Louie's notes. While Olimar sees the native creatures as deadly wild beasts and terrifying monsters and/or speculating as to how they live out their simplistic lives, Louie sees them as ''lunch.'' And judging by his notes on the Beady Long Legs, he's tough enough to have survived a few cases of food poisoning as well.
* Whenever you kill a Spotty Bulbear and its babies. Bonus if you ''don't'' use the Ultra Bitter-Spray, and/or fight it with only the captains.
* The [=YouTube=] user Himajin's 'Perfect Pikmin' run of the first game deserves a special mention. Not only did he manage to beat the game in ''six days '''without hacking''''', a feat that was thought to be outright ''impossible'', he did it all ''without losing a single Pikmin!'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCI5T0QN5RQ&list=PL4127153E492643E5&index=1 It has to be seen to be believed.]]
* Louie making it all the way to the bottom of the Dream Den was pretty cool of him, considering that the dream den is the hardest dungeon in the game and some of the passages to the next floor are blocked by stone.
* The battle against the Scornet Maestro. Being a queen bee of sorts that commands a swarm of 100 minions, the fight plays off a lot like battling a bug version of a captain with its own Pikmin!
* Thanks to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0kFFzMmQN0 this little number]] during boss battles, the boss fights in Pikmin 3 can help you feel pretty awesome, especially versus the Quaggled Mireclops.
* For Pikmin types, Pikmin 3 implies that Yellow Pikmin might be the most successful species of the original three. Besides having the most versatile abilities of the original 3 (Can be thrown high, be immune to electricity, carry bomb rocks again, and generate their own electricity), and while you only find four Reds at the start of the game and Blue Pikmin had seemingly gone extinct again, you find a colony of '''''30''''' of these guys at the start of the game, implying that out of the primary three, they're the ones who are the most successful to surviving without a leader.
* The final boss of ''3''. Tiny carrot-ant creatures. Up against a massive, eldritch blob that can alter its state of matter. ''And the carrot creatures win''. Sort of. As revealed near the end, the Plasm Wraith is alive and fully regenerated, but at least the Koppaites got Olimar away from it. Still, talk about [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu Punching Out Cthulhu!]]
** If you begin the fight with the Plasm Wraith, but the day ends before you finish it, Alph's log entry is something to behold.
--> '''Alph:''' That mysterious life-form not only swallowed Captain Olimar, but it also transmutated into some sort of humanoid! [[BadassBoast It's going to take everything we've got,]] [[HeroicVow but we'll take that thing down!]] And then we'll save Captain Olimar! And then we'll save Koppai! And then we'll be heroes! [[BringIt LET'S DO THIS!]]
* The Vehemoth Phosbat boss fight is pretty epic, too. Using Yellow Pikmin to power up lightbulbs to weaken the boss is pretty cool. Having them start up a car battery to light up the entire room is incredible badass! And to top it off, the fight ends with Captain Charlie lifting open the beast's mouth to exit it, not a scratch on him.
* The fight with the Sandbelching Meerslug is right out of the Tremors films, right down to the tried-and-true tactic to FeedItABomb. Not to mention the PreAssKickingOneLiner Charlie gives if he happens to be the one in the lead when you do:
-->"[[VerbThis Eat this!]]"
* From the short films, the sheer size of the operation Olimar has set up in "Occupational Hazard" is awesome if only for its raw coordination. At least a thousand Pikmin swarming over a long abandoned construction site, scouring it of anything Olimar and the ship deem valuable, is a sight to behold.
** Including all sorts of complicated maneuvers that they're performing with only minimal instruction like using a seesaw to jump up and down from the top of a digger.
** A few of the Pikmin accidentally bump into a blowhog. The yellows and blues run for it, while the one red stands its ground and, with the help of another red, jumps on it and steers it into a mud puddle, rendering it harmless. Even though Red Pikmin have the obvious advantage of being fireproof, it's still a pretty awesome scene.
