** Gambit throws Jin into the wall with several explosive cards.
** Jin using [[spoiler: the [[HumongousMecha Mecha Blodia]]'s arm to [[MegatonPunch punch Gambit into orbit]] to finish the fight]].

** The entire fight is very close, with each of them trading combos after combos, [[spoiler: but Burai wins, bouncing Terry off the floor again and again before he finally stays down.]]

** The tone is set when Akuma, a pseudo-demon powered by the Surge of Murderous Intent, makes Kenpachi ''laugh'' by challenging him to a fight.
** During the fight, Kenpachi leaps, slices Akuma's chest open, and punches him so hard that he sets off a giant shockwave. [[spoiler: The normally fragile Akuma ''still fights on''.]]
** [[spoiler: Akuma's BareHandedBladeBlock and his subsequent disarming of Kenpachi. Kenpachi doesn't even care. He just compliments Akuma and goes back in bare-handed. While it doesn't work out for him, that kind of determination is awesome.]]
** [[spoiler: Akuma ends the battle by launching Kenpachi into the air, whipping him with a Tatsumaki Zankyuyaku, and kicking him so hard that he gets launched into the distance like Team Rocket!]]
*** Even better: it's revealed in the epilogue of Catwoman vs. Black Widow that [[spoiler: Kenpachi is STILL sailing through the air from the force of that kick. While it's impossible to tell just how much time has passed since their initial fight, we at least have a rough idea of how far he's flown; while we see him crashing into a large city, the initial fight took place in a forested mountain area with no sign of civilization. At the very least it's safe to assume that he was launched a few dozen miles-- it's also entirely possible, considering Catwoman's involvement in that fight, that he was kicked all the way from Japan to '''the United States'''. Either way, this is also a crowning moment for Kenpachi, considering that he [[MadeOfIron SURVIVED this]] even if he lost his match.]]

** Falcon gets knocked around by Captain Commando's squadron, but not even a 5 on 1 situation is enough to keep him down.
** Falcon avoids one of Commando's attacks and delivers a devastating Knee of Justice to the face. Commando returns the favor by ''avoiding the Falcon Punch'' and pulling off a spirited counterattack.
** [[spoiler: At the end, Falcon uses Blue Falcon to run over Commando's team, rams into Commando himself, and ''outruns the Blue Falcon to'' '''finally''' ''Falcon Punch Commando into the nearest mountain!'']]

** Battle starts with Batman dropping from above on Wesker's men (The Umbrella spec-ops team from Umbrella Chronicles for some neat flavor) and utterly destroying them.
** When Wesker shows up, the screen suddenly goes black as he says "I'll play with you" and shows up, with some awesome music accompanying his appearance.
** The ease with which Wesker avoids most of Batman's attacks. It only makes it that much more awesome when Batman finally gets some good hits in.
*** [[spoiler: Too bad Batman gets curb stomped when Wesker finally gets serious. He even seems disappointed at how short the fight ends up being.]]

** The fight ends with [[spoiler: Kim]] kicking [[spoiler: Juri]] so hard that [[spoiler: he ''collapses a giant temple'' with her as the wrecking ball!]]

** An utterly badass sword duel and the closest melee to date.

** The video and animation is inspired by the ''WebAnimation/SuperMarioBrosZ'' series, which is also a bit heartwarming, too, considering that the series is what inspired ''One Minute Melee'' in the first place.
** The ending. When [[spoiler: Eggman shoots rockets at Bowser, sending him flying away. But Bowser rides the rockets back into Eggman's mech, disarming it]] and ending the match. Then, to pour more salt in the wound, [[spoiler: Bowser approaches Eggman and grins at him, before dropkicking him and his broken mech away, ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'' style.]] Literally kicking him when he's down.
** [[spoiler: While it isn't a ''Death Battle'', it's at least worth noting that this is the first time a ''Mario'' character has defeated a ''Sonic'' character in one of Website/ScrewAttack's videos.]]

** The rematch between the two mercenaries, while not on the level of their Death Battle appearance, is still a worthwhile minute of CrazyAwesome moves from both combatants.
** The ending. [[spoiler:Deathstroke simultaneously shoots and beats the crap out of Deadpool with his sniper rifle, right before firing a shot that [[LudicrousGibs reduces Deadpool to a bunch of assorted limbs and a head]]]], taking the win for himself.

** The beginning implies an OffScreenMomentOfAwesome for Ragna, as Dante comes across him over the prone bodies of [[spoiler:[[WorldsStrongestMan Hakumen]], or at least what appear to be copies of him]], yet Rags decides to fight Dante regardless.
** The fight itself is quite impressive, the two warriors trading combo after combo yet getting back up regardless, with Dante pulling an especially impressive moment by [[spoiler:surviving Ragna's [[FinishingMove Black Onslaught]].]]
** The ending, arguably. [[spoiler:Ragna gets hit with Dante's [[VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3 Million Dollar]] hyper, but gets back up, activates the [[ArtifactOfDoom Azure Grimoire's]] [[SuperMode Blood Kain]],]] and finishes [[spoiler:Dante]] off with [[SingleStrokeBattle a single strike]].

** The beginning is probably one of longest in One Minute Melee, involving Dio throwing a bus at Sakuya, then throwing her into the bus while time is frozen, rapidly punching the said bus once she's inside it until it blows up... only to Sakuya cut the bus in half, being all fine. And that happened before the proper battle even began.
** Sakuya blocking The World's RapidFireFisticuffs long enough for her to find an opening to cut its arm off (which cuts Dio's arm as well). And that's with the implication that Sakuya couldn't see Dio's stand. Having been done at the last few seconds, this would have normally meant the end of the match, but...
** Dual ZA/THE WORLD! Thanks to The World's power and that of the Lunar Dial watch, the battle ends up drawing out way longer than merely one minute, because ''[[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou the timer itself was caught in the time freeze.]]''
** After looking like Sakuya had finally beaten him, Dio proceeds to [[GrievousHarmWithABody beat her up with his sliced off arm]], causing her to let go of her [[AmuletOfConcentratedAwesome Luna Dial clock]] and trapping her in the time freeze.
** The finale where [[spoiler:Sakuya throws a knife at Dio's throat to silence him, throwing PinballProjectile knife around that eventually pierces through Dio before ending it with a FlechetteStorm.]]
*** What makes it even better is that [[spoiler: Sakuya reenacts Jotaro's fake out and time stop at the end of Part 3's final battle right before she pincushions Dio.]]
*** What really puts the icing in the cake is that [[spoiler:''[[HoistByHisOwnPetard Dio himself]]'' put the final nail in the coffin, since his infamous steamroller attack actually pushed the Luna Dial clock towards Sakuya and allowed said fake out to happen.]]
** In a very reality warping way, to the outside viewer of the double time pause between Sakuya and Dio, the finale of the fight took place in the span of ''less than a second''.

** Mewtwo's introduction- as Frieza gloats about attaining all the Dragon Balls, a Master Ball comes flying over the horizon, and explodes open on contact with the ground. Mewtwo emerges with the sound of its cry from the games, and strikes an AssKickingPose. Never has a Pokeball opening looked so epic!
** Mewtwo deflecting Frieza's Death Bullets with its Barrier despite its opponent's planet-destroying levels of power. It then becomes a CrowningMomentOfFunny when Frieza gets frustrated, then warps around it and punts Mewtwo away- to which Mewtwo responds by [[DishingOutDirt ripping out a series of giant boulders from the ground with its telekinetic powers]], before ''hurling them all at him at once''.
*** Taken [[UpToEleven even further]] when Mewtwo sees Frieza's Full Power Death Beam (Which for the record, he had previously used to [[OneHitKill one-shot]] [[FutureBadass Future Trunks]] in [[Anime/DragonBallZ his own series]].) coming, ''[[CatchAndReturn stops it in mid-air]]'', and launches it back at him with one wave of its hand.
** [[spoiler: Frieza defeats Mewtwo by quickly creating a [[KillItWithFire Death Ball]] whilst it's distracted, before blasting it at Mewtwo to [[AshFace blacken it]] and [[PersonOfMassDestruction lay waste to the area around them]], complete with PreAssKickingOneLiner. Yes, he managed to perform one of his strongest moves ''behind Mewtwo's back'' without it noticing until it was too late.]]

** Hercule's tirade against Dan in the intro of the battle when [[PaperTiger Dan tries to act tough by walking straight into him]] is both hilarious and awesome.

** Despite undoubtedly being the weakest and most pathetic ''[[VideoGame/StreetFighter Street Fighter]]'' character, Dan is still capable of blasting a ''military truck'' in half with a single Shinku Gadoken.
*** If that isn't impressive enough, it made [[VideoGame/MetalSlug a nearby soldier]] run away in fear.
** The combo Hercule unleashed against Dan near the end of the battle. Despite being a major goofball, he's still a capable athlete and fighter- which definitely showed there. Then, once Dan gets the upper hand again, [[spoiler: he's still able to win by giving him an [[ActionBomb exploding handheld game console]] and [[CombatPragmatist tricking him into detonating it]]]].
** Likewise with [[AdaptationalBadass Dan]]. [[spoiler: Sure he loses, but compared to [[CurbStompBattle how he fared]] in his later ''Death Battle'' against Hercule, he's [[SparedByTheAdaptation able to actually survive]] and put up a much better fight]]- to the point where he not only destroys a military truck with his Shinku Gadoken as previously mentioned, but he's pulling off ''legitimate'' Ansatsuken techniques such as the [[HurricaneKick tatsumaki senpuu kyaku]] and [[KamehameHadouken hadouken]] as part of his combos. He even [[spoiler: has Hercule on the ropes towards the end before his opponent ultimately outsmarts him]].

** While OMM is by their own admission a no-research battle, this is one where they clearly knew who they were using. [[spoiler: The match was portrayed moreso as Samus's unbelievably powerful arsenal and Chozo-enhanced biology against Mega Man's powerful robotic body and extreme durability. The latter ended up winning out.]]
** [[spoiler: Samus loses the match... but it's not over yet, because it turns out that Mega Man wasn't fighting Samus at all--it's ''[[VideoGame/MetroidFusion the SA-X]]'', who goes OneWingedAngel and starts pummeling Mega Man. Then the ''real'' Samus shows up, and the two team up to utterly destroy it.]]
*** Zero Laser + Mega Legends = [[spoiler: one dead monster.]]
** The fact that [[spoiler: they used the SA-X for this battle in a more "storytelling" move similar to the last bout. The SA-X is note for note identical to Samus in abilities, weaponry, battle tactics, experience and capabilities, making Mega Man's win a fair one -- and did so ''without having to make Samus break character'', who wouldn't fight someone without good reason. This isn't Death Battle, after all.]]

** After Kenpachi [[spoiler: has been kicked presumably around the entire WORLD following his first fight with Akuma, he challenges him to a rematch within SECONDS of crash-landing. He even manages to give AKUMA of all people an OhCrap moment while doing so.]]
** Kenpachi and Akuma were BOTH holding back in their initial fight. This time? Not so much.
** Kenpachi takes off the eyepatch and manages to give a powered-up Akuma one heck of a beatdown, and towards the end, he [[spoiler: ''slices a mountain in half.'']]
*** Not to be outdone, Oni leaps into the air and [[spoiler: punches Ken's face into the ground so hard, it sets off a massive burst of lava that takes up the missing half of the mountain, winning the fight for Oni again!]]
*** A special mention for [[spoiler: Kenpachi ''surviving'' that last attack. He's kind of crispy and needed Yachiru to bail him out, but it's clear that Ken has difficulty dying.]]

** First fully 3D battle of the second season and it looks visually stunning.

** No good Ghost Rider fight is complete without his bike! Ghost Rider summons his sweet ride and grinds its front wheel on Scorpion's face.
*** Gotta give some credit to Scorpion, too. He knocks Ghosty off his bike and hurts him with a giant hellfireball, of all things.
** Likewise, no good Ghost Rider fight goes without the [[DeathGlare Penance Stare]]! After mounting Scorpion and giving him a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown, Ghost Rider holds him up by his neck and forces him to look into his eyes. [[spoiler: Scorpion is so drained from this attack that the following knockout punch just seems to be a formality.]]
** [[spoiler: Ghost Rider saving [[VideoGame/StreetFighter Ken]] from Scorpion. Heck, special mention goes to Ken for going down there to avenge Ryu after his death against Scorpion.]]
** You have to give Scorpion a little credit. Not only did he [[spoiler: defeat Ryu in their WebAnimation/DeathBattle, but he defeated Ken and had him at his mercy, off screen.]]

** Knuckles pulling boulders from the ground with his own strength.
** Wario using his fart as a strategy for both offense and defense. Even stealth out of all things!

** The fight starts with Dio regenerating from his fight with Sakuya and attacking Kenshiro, only for Ken to ''PunchParry The World's attack'' and kick Dio out of the area.
** Kenshiro's first attack is leaping into the air and thrusting his hand out towards Jotaro. Jotaro sends out Star Platinum to punch Kenshiro's hand...and ''[[{{Synchronization}} reels back in pain.]]''
** During the following beat-down, Jotaro maintains his senses enough to summon Star Platinum when Ken lets his guard drop, which is no easy feat considering it's Kenshiro, Master of the Hokuto Shinken we're talking about.
** Mid-way through the fight, Kenshiro starts [[FlashStep flash stepping]] behind Jotaro constantly, perplexing Jotaro until he finally hits Ken...only for Ken to NoSell his punch and launch him in the air for a flurry of kicks.

** The finale of the fight is an epic PummelDuel between Kenshiro and Star Platinium, with their battle cries, ''Atatatatata!'' and ''Oraoraoraora!'', going against each other.
*** [[spoiler: Jotaro wins and [=KOs=] Ken, which is really amazing in and of itself. Sure, he had a FlyingBrick of a Stand and received some significant injuries in the processs, but this is still a 17-year-old high school {{Delinquent}} managing to take down a grown man who trained in a [[{{Gorn}} highly destructive]] 1000-year-old assassination art for most of his life.]]

** [[spoiler:Vergil's Devil Trigger being strong enough to beat Sephiroth.]]
** [[spoiler:Sephiroth promising that he will fight Vergil again and win.]] [[spoiler:And in Death Battle proper, he did.]]

** Link's Clawshot dragging Sora out of the sky and into the ground- much like how he used it in his [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZetQXgS6ozw battle]] [[VideoGame/SuperSmashBros against]] [[VideoGame/KidIcarusUprising Pit]]- [[spoiler: followed by revealing that he'd dropped Sora into [[TrapMaster a pile of]] [[HavingABlast lit Bombs]], which he then detonates by firing a [[TrickArrow Bomb Arrow]]- causing a massive explosion that kicks up a dust cloud that can be seen from miles away]].
** Sora, despite being exhausted from the assault above, triggers his Limit Form and slashes through the Gale Boomerang's tornado with a stylish Action Command.
** Link leaping several feet into the air to perform the [[SwordPlant Ending]] [[FinishingMove Blow]], [[spoiler: and Sora ''barely'' preventing its success by impaling Link with a beam of light from his ''Ragnarok'' LimitBreak whilst prone on the ground]]. Bonus points as well for keeping in-character [[spoiler: [[AllLovingHero by making sure]] [[NonLethalKO not to kill him]]]].
** One for [[spoiler:Sora]] in the post-fight epilogue. In particular, it shows [[spoiler: the reason why Link- who normally wouldn't fight fellow heroes without a good reason for it- attacked Sora, Donald and Goofy in the first place. He'd been [[DemonicPossession possessed by]] [[EvilTwin Dark Link]], who is [[BeatTheCurseOutOfHim forced to leave Link's body]] after the battle]]. Basically, it not only gives a good reason for the two to battle without either of them breaking character, but also means that [[spoiler:[[FridgeBrilliance by proxy]], [[BigDamnHeroes Sora saved the life of the real Link]]]].
*** Likewise, it gets even better when [[spoiler: as soon as Link recovers, Dark Link promptly summons an enormous, ''VideoGame/HyruleWarriors''-scale horde of Heartless- and Sora, Donald and Goofy prepare to fight them. Shrugging off his injuries, Link [[DefeatMeansFriendship immediately gets back up]] [[GuestStarPartyMember to join the trio]]- and with that, [[AssKickingPose the four heroes all stand]] [[BackToBackBadasses back-to-back]] with the demonic horde surrounding them, before [[BolivianArmyEnding leaping into the fray]]]].

** Luffy taking out Naruto's army of Shadow Clones with his Conqueror's Haki.
** [[spoiler: Luffy's Gear Second being strong enough to face and beat Naruto in One-Tailed Version One form.]]

** [[spoiler: The final slash off, ending in Zoro's victory.]]

** [[spoiler: [[TheCameo Sasuke appearing at the end.]] Could we have a future combatant?]]

** BB gets one when she manages to [[SuperStrength pick up]] [[ActionBomb Lonesome Lenny]] when Peacock hits her with him, drops him right back on Peacock [[ScrewThisImOutOfHere when she tries to get away]], and then unloads a hail of gunfire with her two woodsmen henchmen in order to make Lenny explode. And credit goes to Peacock [[MadeOfIron who survives it]].
** Peacock gets her ultimate one [[spoiler:at the end, when she and her buddies [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown gang up on BB]] before Peacock lights a cigar and [[NoKillLikeOverkill blows her up]] [[NoBodyLeftBehind without a trace]] with one last bomb, [[SlasherSmile grinning all the while]]]].

** In a ShockingSwerve, [[spoiler:''[[WebAnimation/SuperMarioBrosZ SMBZ]]''[='=]s characterization of [[UnexpectedCharacter Mecha Sonic]] comes in out of nowhere to utterly destroy Metal Sonic and fight Bowser Jr. instead, who is visibly terrified throughout]].
*** Bowser Jr. deserves a spot on this list for managing to [[spoiler: not die straight away against a machine that killed an ''entire world''. In fact, not only does he survive for more than a few seconds, ''[[CurbStompCushion he actually gets in some good hits.]]'']]
** After [[spoiler: Mecha Sonic destroys the Koopa Clown Car and gives Bowser Jr. a brutal NoHoldsBarredBeatdown, the monstrous mecha hurls the beaten Koopa Prince towards a nearby wall]]. Then, who should show up but [[spoiler: [[PapaWolf Bowser]], [[VillainousRescue who catches Bowser Jr. and safely moves him away from the fight]] before turning to engage Mecha Sonic himself for attacking his son]].

** Master Hand ''picking up the entire Final Destination and swinging it'' at Polygon Man like a baseball bat, launching him to the Moon.
*** Credit to Polygon Man as well there for surviving such a blow and still being in good enough shape to continue fighting him.
** The finishing blow. After the two combatants fly back toward the Final Destination, a [[LimitBreak Smash Ball]] appears and [[spoiler: Polygon Man initially gets it by slamming down on top of it, blocking Master Hand's approach with his force fields as he taunts him]]. Not to be outdone, [[spoiler: Master Hand drills through the shield and stabs ''straight through'' Polygon Man, knocking the Smash Ball out of him and allowing Master Hand to grab it himself]]. With that, [[spoiler: Master Hand tears open a rift in spacetime- ala ''Super Smash Bros. 4''- sucking Polygon Man inside, massively damaging him and shrinking him down to a ''friggin' trophy'', which falls straight into Master Hand's palm. [[LiterallyShatteredLives Crushing the trophy to shards]], Master Hand wins]], concluding with an epic EvilLaugh.
*** The cherry on top: [[spoiler: Master Hand didn't even need his SNKBoss OneWingedAngel form Master Core to finish Polygon Man off.]]

** The ending. After [[spoiler: Hawkeye forces Green Arrow onto the ropes by beating him in close quarters and launching an Explosive Arrow his way, it looks for a second like he's down. Cue Green Arrow using a clever strategy involving the resulting smoke screen from the blast- using it to disguise him first firing off an Explosive Arrow towards Hawkeye, then using a Grappling Hook Arrow to get to the ceiling whilst he's distracted. As Clint dodges the resulting explosion, [[DeathFromAbove Oliver drops down on him with a two-footed kick before he can react]], knocking the Avenger unconscious]] and letting him take the win.
*** By extension, just the fact that [[spoiler: Green Arrow is now the first (And to date, only) ComicBook/JusticeLeague member to come out with a win in a ''One Minute Melee''- succeeding where Batman, Flash and Wonder Woman all failed]]. Likewise, he also shares a feat with [[spoiler: fellow DC combatant Deathstroke in being the second ''Death Battle'' loser to beat the same opponent they lost to in a ''One Minute Melee'']].

** In an utterly badass boxing match and one of the closest match-ups to date, [[spoiler: Little Mac is ultimately able to take the win by knocking Ippo out with a [[SignatureMove Three-Star Uppercut]]- or basically, a ''[[ShoRyuKen shoryuken]]'']].
*** Commiserations as well go to [[spoiler:Ippo, who is not only able to keep up with Little Mac's punishing blows for practically the entire match, he's even able to punch him hard enough to launch him several feet into the air and even stretch the ropes right back like they're made of rubber]]. Anyone who's involved in Boxing or Wrestling will know that the latter feat in particular is ''extremely'' hard to do.
** Look at how much Ippo and Mac exchanged blows like an actual match- with both of them putting up an incredible performance and gaining the upper-hand with their respective signature punches at various points. It's a rare example of a ''One Minute Melee'' literally going right to the wire, and can ultimately be described as a match that even the likes of Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali would be proud of.
** When Hyper Gauge picked up One Minute Melee, the fight was extended '''to a three-round no-holds barred slug fest''', ending up [[spoiler: outside the ring with Ippo and Mac knocking each other out]], each having won a round previously.

** Geese takes the initiative by launching Heihachi higher than a five-story building while threatening him with the inevitability of death, then making him bounce on enormous blades of energy all the way down.
** Not long after the assault above, Heihachi tosses a giant pillar at Geese, except the pillar serves a distraction and leaves Geese open for a combo that ends with Heihachi [[WrestlerInAllOfUs power-bombing him through the floor]].
** How does the victor clinch his win? [[spoiler: SURPRISE BEAR ATTACK. Kuma softens up Geese just enough for Heihachi to knock him out, chain him to the nosecone of a rocket and send him flying off to space, in a reference to his ''Tekken 5'' ending. Now, if only he could [[BigScrewedUpFamily do the same to his relatives.]]]]

** Over the course of the video, Goku defeats [[spoiler: Sonic, of course, but also Godzilla, Kirby, Captain America, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Hulk and Thor, before blowing up the Death Star with a single kamehameha (the same one he used for defeated Hulk, no less).]] And he did all this ''while being in his base form''.
** Unfortunately, he then tries to fight [[spoiler: Saitama... Who, true to the way his fights usually end, obliterates Goku with only one punch.]]

** Guile kicks Cap's shield so hard that it looks like a red, white, and blue blur. Cap catches it out of mid-air, but he does look shocked at how hard Guile kicked it.
** Guile launches his Sonic Hurricane at Cap, complete with a flashy camera angle, but Captain America just charges out of the dust with his shield in front of him.
** Captain America [[spoiler: finishing off Guile]] with [[https://youtu.be/9Ex_cjFz9ok?t=2m24s a legitimate combo from]] ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3''.

** The first time Orie summons her GuardianEntity, she sends Asuna bouncing off the ground like a skipping stone out of a window.
** Towards the end, Asuna knocks Orie out of the air and splits the GuardianEntity's sword in half when it tries to block her, [[spoiler: but Orie ''leaps off one of the shattered halves in mid-air'' and launches Asuna through the ground with her feet, winning the fight with a stylish counterattack.]]
** In general, this is one of the [[VisualEffectsOfAwesome prettiest]] fights OMM has done to date, despite the relative obscurity of its combatants.

** Hot off the heels of the bout against Junior, [[PapaWolf the Koopa King comes to take his revenge]]. [[spoiler: He succeeds. ''[[CurbStompBattle Completely]]''.]]
*** The way this is portrayed at the start makes it all the more magnificent. [[spoiler: Mecha Sonic and Bowser banter in a epic rebuttal, before Mecha Sonic teleports behinds Bowser, ready to punch him in what he assumes is gonna be another CurbStompBattle...only for Bowser to catch the fist and launch him away. Cue "ENTER THE HEAT OF BATTLE...FIGHT". Cue the CurbStompBattle, only in Bowser's favor.]]
** Throughout the fight, Mecha Sonic spams his Dragon Ball-esque FlashStep strategy of warping around the opponent and pummeling them from all angles, as he tends to do. [[spoiler: Unfortunately for him, this is his first time fighting a foe as [[MightyGlacier huge and heavy]] as Bowser, and all Mecha manages to do is keep in range for the occasional crushing blow that Bowser manages to sneak in.]]
** Mecha Sonic blows up ''an entire mountain'' with just one of his missiles, for the purpose of warping up and [[SteppingStonesInTheSky kicking the enormous falling chunks of rock at Bowser like footballs]]. [[spoiler: This doesn't faze the Koopa King in the slightest- who leaps up and smashes through the first few with his [[SpinToDeflectStuff Whirling Fortress]] technique, before sneaking in a counter-attack by [[CallBack drop-kicking]] the last one straight back at his opponent.]]
** After the battle's conclusion, [[spoiler: [[KickTheSonOfABitch Mecha Sonic is unceremoniously executed in the most glorious, cathartic fashion by Bowser,]] reminding you this is a battle between ''villains''. Some even consider this an unofficial ending to the original ''Super Mario Bros. Z'' run]].

** What makes the above especially awesome is how in the series proper, [[spoiler: [[RoboticPsychopath Mecha Sonic]] was an all-powerful mechanical monstrosity who was feared by literally ''everyone'', and had annihilating an entire world and all its inhabitants, among other atrocities, to his name. Yet after all this, [[KarmicDeath he's finally destroyed by the wrath of his latest victim's father]], and shown what it's like to be on the ''receiving'' end of [[CurbStompBattle such a beatdown]] in the process.]]
** To top the entire thing off, the closing moments of the fight have Bowser watching as Mario, Luigi, the petrified Sonic statue and Peach fly away in a plane. Technically, this is a loss for Bowser. And he grins and remarks that he doesn't give a shit- [[TheDeterminator he's gonna head back home and start fresh, come up with a plan so devious it'll bring an end to those damn Mario brothers!]] Even after suffering a loss, losing an airship, having to kick a former ally's ass, he's ''still'' not going to give up. Villain though he may be, it makes you wanna root for the big guy.

** The phrase [[MemeticMutation "KIRBY'S FUCKING PISSED"]] has never been more accurate. He starts off the fight by inhaling a Boxin and using his Fighter ability to beat down Pac-Man for stealing his meal.
** Pac-Man responds in kind by beating the tar out of Kirby with a fire hydrant and holding him close to taunt him.
** Kirby later uses his Ninja ability to pull off a blistering assault against Pac-Man, shredding him faster than the eye can see.
** And Pac-Man responds to these attacks by comboing Kirby and dropping a huge bell on his pink, pudgy face.
** Shit gets real when Kirby uses a Boxin as a shield, and that random Boxin actually manages to lay the smack down on Pac-Man in its misplaced anger. Too bad it gets offed by a shuriken thrown by Kirby.
** Even with all this fast-paced action, it's only natural that the finishing blow stand out: [[spoiler: Pac-Man sends out his ghosts and hits a flash-stepping Kirby, but Kirby, within seconds of being hit, inhales Clyde and spits him at Pac-man, which naturally kills the big yellow dot.]]
** In summary, one of the most action-packed and spectacular [=OMMs=] took place between two hungry circles with arms and legs. [=TheAnimouth=] deserves a lot of praise for what he's done here.

** Trunks fires his Burning Attack at Silver, but he casually deflects it. However, it hits Trunks's sword and launches it right into Trunks's hand, and he continues his thrashing of Silver without missing a beat.
** Later on, Silver attempts to restrain Trunks with his telekinesis after pressing his advantage, but Trunks bursts out of his control and gives him a MegatonPunch.

** [[spoiler: Meruem completely breaks Cell. And we don't just mean he tears him limb from limb, oh no: Cell, at the end, is a terrified wreck who's missing an arm and a leg, all thanks to Meruem's one-sided devastation of him. What's more, Meruem made it look '''[[VisualEffectsOfAwesome good.]]''']]

** Polnareff has Silver Chariot fire its rapier at Yu, only for Yu to deflect it. However, Silver Chariot catches it without trouble and lays a beatdown on Yu anyway.
** After slugging Pol in the face, Yu summons Yoshitsune, who proceeds to ''speed past Silver Chariot'' and slice up Pol with Yu's assistance. Even with the armor on, that's no easy feat.
** Speaking of Silver Chariot's armor, Polnareff removes it and forces Yu to go on the defensive, with Yu unable to compete with its blinding speed. [[spoiler: It almost lands a fatal blow in this form, but gets countered by Yu's Angelic Grace.]]
** [[spoiler: Yu and Izanagi finish the fight with an electrically charged double divekick chained into a Zionga that completely destroys Anubis and saves both Jotaro and Polnareff. The [[OhCrap look on Anubis!Pol's face]] before the kick lands shows he knows just how screwed he is.]]

** First off, this fight ''is revoked of the one minute time limit'', allowing for an awesome and all-out fight.
** Well, we can't just say "the whole damn thing", so let's start with that awesome ShoutOut to One Punch Man's opening right after Saitama headbutts Superman.
** When Saitama has the upper hand, he knocks Superman into a building with a mundane series of repeated punches.
** After Superman leads Saitama to a secluded area, Superman refuses to let up on Saitama and subjects him to a brutal assault, dragging him through a plateau and stomping him to the ground at the end.
** Saitama and Superman fight so hard, they clear out the clouds over the continent of Africa.
** At the end of said air-fight, Superman twirls around and sends Saitama speeding towards the ground, and slams him into the rocks like a meteor. This doesn't bother Saitama. However, Superman using his ''VideoGame/Injustice2'' super move does.
** At the end, [[spoiler: Superman uses his Solar Flare in a last-ditch attempt to take out Saitama. Saitama reacts to this like [[MemeticMutation he reacted to Boros's broken armor.]]]] [[spoiler: He was right to be unimpressed.]]

** Oni emerges from the bushes and challenges Luffy, Zoro and Ichigo (who were lost in the forest) to a fight. On the other side of the forest, Kenpachi appears along with Yachiru, leaps down from the trees, and finally goes all-out by entering [[SuperMode Bankai]] [[DangerousForbiddenTechnique Mode]] to match Oni's power.
** Much like in the previous episode, Kenpachi demolishes the entire area by [[AbsurdlySharpBlade cutting down every single tree with his sword]], and towards the end, he [[spoiler:[[AnArmAndALeg slices off Oni's left arm and cuts his right arm at the shoulder]]. At the end of the fight, Kenpachi performs a spinning attack to try and finish Oni, but [[HeroicSecondWind Oni grabs him with his remaining arm]], [[IAmNotLeftHanded takes off the kid gloves]], and outright ''kills'' the Soul Reaper with the [[DangerousForbiddenTechnique Shun Goku Satsu]], bringing an end to the feud once and for all]].
** Luffy, Zoro, and Ichigo think they can finally get out of the forest. However, they see that the opening in the trees collapsed because of the damage done from the fight, and realize that they ''still'' can't get out. Much to the dismay of Zoro...[[Funny/OneMinuteMelee who uses his swords to outright attack the camera in frustration]].

** Even though he [[spoiler:died at Akuma's hands eventually, ''massive'' props go to Kenpachi for being able to fight him on more-or-less equal terms across three episodes-- surviving being launched from Japan to the United States by the Demon Armageddon and being caught in the explosion of an entire mountain thanks to the Misogi amongst other things, even coming close to killing him in his [[SNKBoss Oni]] form by the last fight. He only just loses out after being hit by the [[DangerousForbiddenTechnique Shun Goku Satsu]], but he definitely put up a great fight the whole time]].

** After being launched into space by Goku's Kamehameha, Hulk crash-landed on Namek. Broly is shown fighting with Nail. After he punched him into the mountain, Broly sensed Hulk's presence. The very moment the two set their sight on each other, the two rage-filled behemoths clash.
** Broly tosses Hulk into space and fires a charged-up ki blast at him. Hulk rebounds by catching onto some space rock, deflecting the ki blast, and using the force of the blast to ''ride down to Namek on a meteor.''
** The final attack of the fight [[spoiler: ''blows up Namek.'' Sucks to be the Namekians, but that's one hell of a way to end a brawl between two rage-fueled fighting machines. Broly may have won, but props go to Hulk for pushing him to that point and facing the final blow head on.]]

** Sanji starts off the fight with a hard-hitting combo, but as he knocks away Lee, he realizes too late that his leg has been caught by one of Lee's handwraps, which leads to Lee pulling Sanji in for a solid counterattack.
** After said counter, Sanji gets pissed enough to kick a tree in half with his Diable Jambe, then runs on the fallen half and comes at Lee feet-first.
** Towards the end, Rock Lee takes off his leg weights. Sanji tells him to bring it on, [[spoiler: but gets interrupted by the weights slamming into the fallen tree so hard, they ''catapult'' him into the air, giving Lee the opportunity to end the fight with the Hidden Lotus.]]
** Something to note is that Rock Lee [[spoiler: achieved what Naruto and Sasuke, the two poster boys of his home series, couldn't: he became the first Naruto character to win an OMM. What's more, he scored a victory against a One Piece character, and no One Piece characters lost an OMM before his fight happened. It may came down to animator's preference, but it's quite gratifying to see the likable but constantly [[WorfEffect Worfed]] Lee buck two trends at the same time.]]

** Paul Phoenix runs into Ken Masters, and believing he is participating in the Tournament, challenges him to a fight to see what America's "best" has to offer. Not knowing anything about the Tournament, Ken accepts the challenge.
** Paul and Ken both give one hell of a performance during this fight, to the point where it's difficult to point out any standout moments from this battle. However, the tension gets cranked up to 11 at the 25 second mark, where Paul charges up his Burning Fist and Ken blocks it just in the nick of time, setting off a huge explosion that wrecks the bridge they're standing on.
** After the fight, Paul promises to Ken that after he's done with the Tournament, they will finish the fight.

** The first few seconds of the battle consist of Edward manhandling a guy twice his size after turning the ground into spikes.
** When Edward comes at Joseph with his spear, Jojo dodges his thrusts and punches him so hard, the video [[ArtShift cuts to a hand-drawn image]] of Ed getting a knuckle sandwich.
** After getting knocked down by a massive pillar, Jojo blocks Ed's arm blade in the nick of time and smacks him around with the butt of a Tommy gun before giving him a Hamon Overdrive.
*** Which Ed counters by uppercutting Jojo about 15 feet into the air and beating him up so badly, he decides to make a run for it.
** After 50 seconds of frantic, fast-paced action, the fight can only end one way:

** After his previous performance against Albert Wesker, [[spoiler:Batman becoming the first previous ''One Minute Melee'' loser to return with a win definitely has to count]]. Special mention has to go to how he [[spoiler:finishes the battle-- after [[CombatPragmatist baiting Iron Man into using up all his power]] for his [[WaveMotionGun Proton Cannon]], he throws an explosive batarang at Stark, which lodges into his armor and stuns him just long enough for Batman to appear behind him and detonate it just a second before he can react--]]

** Bonus points as well for [[spoiler:Batman staying true to character by [[ThouShaltNotKill making sure not to kill Iron Man]]]]-- and after the fight, [[spoiler:intimidating the normally very brash and cocky Tony Stark into being more committed to his role as a superhero (which was what caused the fight in the first place)]], before inducing a funny moment by pulling the classic Batman StealthHiBye trick on him--

** For a meta-example, Batman's voice actor earns one for pulling off a spot-on Creator/KevinConroy impersonation throughout the episode, sounding almost exactly like the man himself.

** The first half of the fight is a brutal back-and-forth, with the highlight being Vegeta dragging Shadow up the side of a tree, which looked like it ''really'' hurt.
** After tossing Vegeta to the ground, Shadow activates [[TimeStandsStill Chaos Control]], sets up three Chaos Spears, and kicks Vegeta into the projectiles before continuing his combo with an energy burst. He couldn't quite finish it, but it was quite the impressive chain of attacks.
** "You're done! [[SignatureMove GALICK GUN]]...'''FIIIIIIIIIREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!'''" [[spoiler: Vegeta wins the fight in style, blasting Shadow into a boulder with a big freakin' ki blast after a spirited defense by the Ultimate Lifeform.]]

** The Waddle Dees take a pretty bad beating in the early stages of the fight, but guess who shows up to turn the tide? [[BadassNormal Bandana Waddle Dee]], who tears through the enemy ranks like a stubby-limbed [[VideoGame/DynastyWarriors Lu Bu]]. Special mention goes to the moment where he smacks a Goomba so hard, it leaves a dent in Bowser's Castle.
** Kabula also shows up to fight for the Waddle Dees by smashing into and firing missiles at Bowser's airships. [[spoiler: Bowser Jr. tries to take her down with an enormous Banzai Bill, but in the end, she gets away unscathed...though the war ends in a draw.]]

** Piccolo explicitly states that the Martian Manhunter might be even stronger than Goku, but he stands his ground and takes him on anyway, which is incredibly brave. [[LetsYouAndHimFight Unnecessary,]] but brave.
** At one point, MM sends Piccolo crashing through four stone pillars and into a rock formation. Piccolo responds by setting up the [[MacrossMissileMassacre Hellzone Grenade]]. Even MM is caught off guard by this.
*** Towards the end, MM looks set to end the fight with a flying haymaker, [[spoiler: but Piccolo holds him in place and ''activates the Hellzone Grenade on MM and '''himself'''''.]] [[spoiler: He ends up knocking himself out while MM still stays conscious, but man, what a gutsy move.]]

** Chris pulls off an incredibly long string of attacks that ends with his [[VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3 Sweep Combo]], which involves hitting Snake with a stun baton, shooting him point blank with a shotgun, SMG, and large-caliber revolver, and ''blowing him up with a rocket launcher.''
** However, Snake ''survives'' all of that. [[spoiler: He also '''runs through a flamethrower''' and, after avoiding more point-blank shotgun blasts, plants C4 on Chris's chest and detonates it for the win.]]

** Right from the get-go, Valentine attempts to ambush Peacock after her fight with BB Hood, only to be intercepted by Ibuki with a swift kunai and a few words. Then, even before the "official" fight starts, they trade a few quick blows. By the time the match starts, it is clear that Valentine's fighting with the intent to kill.
** Something about the way that Valentine somehow efficiently uses surgical equipment as quick, ninja-like weaponry throughout the fight just adds to her whole "creepy nurse" shtick in the most awesome way possible.
** After Valentine hits Ibuki with her strongest attacks, what happens? [[spoiler: Ibuki just gets back up and pummels her opponent like ''nothing happened.'']]

** Raiden effortlessly dodges all of Genos' energy blasts and uses his HF Blade to send one of them flying back.
** Genos' Machine Gun Blow sends Raiden flying into the side of a skyscraper. When Genos attempts to incinerate him, Raiden dodges it by running down the building.
** [[spoiler:Raiden clinches the win by slamming Genos into the same skyscraper he was sent into, and slices the enemy cyborg up before separating all of the parts by dropkicking them through the window.]]

** Rugal's clone takes a few moments to find his footing, but once he does, he's parrying all of Bison's attacks and tossing his own Psycho Shot back at him.
*** Bison's response to his attacks being reflected is getting into an impromptu tennis match with Rugal with a Psycho Shot as the ball, which gets resolved by Bison catching him off guard with a Psycho Crusher and kicking him through a containment chamber.
** A vital moment of quick thinking on [[spoiler: Bison]]'s part allows him to avoid the [[spoiler: Shun Goku Satsu by tossing one of Seth's inert clones in the way of his opponent.]]
** At the end of the fight, [[spoiler: Rugal]] appears to have the fight all wrapped up...[[spoiler: until Bison catches his charged-up shot ''after getting kicked into the air'' and puts an end to the fight with the Nightmare Booster, empowered by Rugal's own attack.]]

** Early in the episode, Gohan already thinks he's got the fight all wrapped up and flied off...[[spoiler: only for Superboy to catch up to him, pass him, and just ''stand in front of him'', and catch him in a lethal combo while he's caught off-guard]]
** At the midpoint of the battle, the combatants trade a myriad of lightning-quick blows, cancelling each other out until a particularity heavy one '''ruptures the ground'''.
** Gohan fires a Kamehameha wave, prompting Superboy to cancel it out with lazer eyes (even though he [[CriticalResearchFailure doesn't usually have lazer eyes]]) in a brief but epic Beam-O-War.

** To initiate the fight, Luigi hammers Tails with enough force to send him flying a good ways across the forest.
** Tails fires off a shot that was just barely dodged by Luigi. The shot reduces the tree behind him to a pile of splinters and a stump.
** Luigi dropkicks tails so hard, his rings go flying. Doubles as a crowning moment of funny.
** Luigi eats a Mega Mushroom, and uses his newfound size to rip ''whole trees'' out of the ground and use them as weapons. A good chunk of the forest is destroyed in the collateral damage of his offensive efforts.
** Tails retaliates by boarding the Tornado, and pestering him with explosives.
** The finisher: Giant Luigi, Dazed by that last explosion sees the tornado flying towards him. He catches it in his hat... [[spoiler: only to realize it's a [[NinjaLog fake]] covered in [[OhCrap explosives]].]]

** At one point, Samson manages to ''drill through the ground'' and pop up below Shantae to attempt to ''[[JustEatHim eat her alive]]''. She does break free, but still.
** Shantae begins dancing so that she can transform. Filia is hesitant to attack, so Samson, having none of it, yanks on Filia's shin, causing her to tumble forward, allowing Samson to charge forward as a dangerous [[RollingAttack hairball]].
** Samson throws Shantae through a pillar and crashing into another one. Not giving her a moment to breathe, he starts hurling boulders at her, which she ''charges though as if they were tumbleweed.''
** Near the end, both combatants are trading and parrying blow after blow. Amidst the fracas, Samson tears a pillar off for ammunition and Shantae summons a storm cloud to strike Filia with lightning. After all is said and done, a good chunk of the building they were in collapses, enough so to ''bury them both in rubble''.

** Mario begins by relentlessly beating down on Sonic, even launching a huge fireball after him after sending him flying across the corridor!
** After a few hits from Sonic, Mario manages to snatch him out of the air and ''pummel his face into the ground''.
** Halfway through the fight, Sonic declares that he's done playing around. Sure enough, he begins zipping all around Mario at ''insane'' speeds, mercilessly destroying his old rival.
** [[spoiler: Mario manages to intercept Sonic -- who, remember, is dashing ''faster than the eye can see'' -- and finish him with a Super Jump Punch powered by so much ''literal'' firepower, the blast extends to outside the castle!]]

** After being ''horribly'' overnerfed and accordingly curbstomped [[spoiler:then killed]] by Zero in his first ''One Minute Melee'', it's awesome just seeing Meta Knight able to use his full range of abilities against Shovel Knight's various weapons and tricks for a badass and fast-paced duel of knights that's very close.
** Shovel Knight equipping the Dust Knuckles to punch Meta Knight through a ''stone wall'' -- embedding him into it with the first few strikes, before smashing him right through. Then later on, we see him using one of Meta Knight's own tornadoes against his opponent by knocking him against it as part of a combo.
** Meta Knight pulling off several truly ''insane'' combos on the Blue Burrower using his speed advantage, airborne prowess and [[TeleportCloak Dimensional]] [[CapeWings Cape]].
** The ending. After [[spoiler:defeating Shovel Knight using the [[LimitBreak Galaxia Darkness]], Meta Knight prepares a SwordBeam to finish him off with -- which, as a heroic individual with a strong code of honour, seems ''very'' out of character for him]]. It's at this point [[spoiler:[[BigDamnHeroes the real Meta Knight teleports in to stop him]], revealing the imposter to be [[VideoGame/KirbyAndTheAmazingMirror Dark Meta Knight]] before dispatching his EvilTwin in the space of about ''[[CurbStompBattle three seconds]]'' to protect Shovel Knight]].
** Despite [[spoiler:losing the fight]], Shovel Knight [[spoiler:enduring all of Dark Meta Knight's punishing blows and simply continuing on his way like nothing happened after the fight is over is [[MadeOfIron impressive toughness on his part]]]].

** The simple fact that [[spoiler:Sans, the [[OneHitPointWonder most frail being]] in Undertale, takes a bitchslap from a [[EldritchAbomination cosmic anomaly]] directly to the face and survives. Even if he lost, he pressed the advantage for almost the whole fight.]]
** The Annoying Dog bringing the [[VisualPun ban hammer]] onto Bill, leaving no trace of him left... [[spoiler: or, at least, within Undertale.]]

** Gaara summons a tidal wave of sand in an attempt to smother his opponent. Crocodile just laughs and harmlessly passes through it.
** Halfway through the fight, Gaara is wounded so much so that he is ''covered in his own blood''. And he ''still'' does his damn best to beat down his foe.
** Near the end, Gaara blitzes his foe with sand projectiles. Croc parries ''every single one of them''.

** Vergil backflips over an extremely wide sword beam, only for Sephiroth to FlashStep behind him, slice him up, and send him flying into a volcano miles away.
** How does Vergil react to Sephiroth summoning a big freaking meteor? Tell the One-Winged Angel ''"Don't get so cocky,"'' activate the Devil Trigger, and slice the meteor to pieces within the span of ''a few seconds.''
** After [[spoiler: stabbing each other, forcing a draw]], they collide into the volcano. It doesn't just erupt, the whole thing ''violently bursts into a column of magma''.

** The finale where [[spoiler:Sakuya throws a knife at Dio's throat to silence him, throwing PinballProjectile knife around what eventually pierces through Dio before ending it with a FlechetteStorm.]]

*** What really puts the icing in the cake is that [[spoiler: ''Dio himself'' put the final nail in the coffin, since his infamous steamroller attack actually pushed the Luna Dial clock towards Sakuya and allowed said fake out to happen.]]

** [[spoiler: Vergil's Devil Trigger being strong enough to beat Sephiroth.]]
** [[spoiler: Sephiroth promising that he will fight Vergil again and win.]]

** How does Vergil react to Sephiroth summoning a big freaking meteor? Tell the One-Winged Angel ''"Don't get so cocky."'' and back up his words by activating the Devil Trigger and slicing the meteor to pieces ''in one second.''

** Shovel Knight equipping the Duster Knuckles to punch Meta Knight through a ''stone wall'' -- embedding him into it with the first few strikes, before smashing him right through. Then later on, we see him using one of Meta Knight's own tornadoes against his opponent by knocking him against it as part of a combo.
** Meta Knight pulling off some truly ''insane'' combos on the Blue Burrower using his speed advantage, airborne prowess and [[TeleportCloak Dimensional]] [[CapeWings Cape]].

** After being ''horribly'' overnerfed and accordingly curbstomped [[spoiler:then killed]] by Zero in his first ''One Minute Melee'', it's awesome just seeing Meta Knight able to use his full range of abilities against Shovel Knight's various weapons and tricks for a badass and fast-paced duel of knights that's surprisingly close.

** The ending. After [[spoiler:defeating Shovel Knight using the [[LimitBreak Galaxia Darkness]], Meta Knight prepares a SwordBeam to finish him off with -- which, as a heroic individual with a strong code of honour, seems ''very'' out of character for him]]. It's at this point [[spoiler:[[BigDamnHeroes the real Meta Knight teleports in to stop him]], revealing the imposter to be [[VideoGame/KirbyAndTheAmazingMirror Dark Meta Knight]] before dispatching his EvilTwin in the space of about ''[[CurbStompBattle six seconds]]'' to protect Shovel Knight]].

** Near the end, both combattants are trading and parrying blow after blow. Amidst the fracas, Samson tears a pillar off for ammunition and Shantae summons a storm cloud to strike Filia with lightning. After all is said and done, a good chunk of the building they were in collapses, enough so to ''bury them both in rubble''.

** [[spoiler: Mario manages to intercept Sonic (who, remember, is dashing at ''blinding speeds'') and finish him with a punch powered by so much literal firepower, the blast extends to outside the castle!]]
