Granted, it's not that different from what Ryan and Esposito do, but the higher-security sources he is sifting through and the way he scrutinizes Castle's (sometimes bizarre but usually accurate) suggestions so carefully despite lacking the established rapport Ryan and Esposito have with him is impressive.
