* Chris Cooper as Deputy Looney when taking the stand during the trial. While it was clear that the deputy lost his leg due to Carl Lee's attacks on the racist rapist, Looney bears no grudge towards Carl Lee for this as he is aware that the loss of his leg was unintentional on Carl Lee's part as the latter only wanted to kill the rapists. Looney also admits that he too has a young daughter and that he himself will kill anyone who ever tries to rape her. He then gives out his passionate cries demanding that Carl Lee be pardoned.
