* ThereAreNoTherapists: ''Brutally'' deconstructed in the review of ''ComicBook/HeroesInCrisis''. Linkara acknowledges how poorly comic books - and media in general - portray mental health issues, perpetrating the InsaneEqualsViolent stereotype among other things, as well as how there seems to be no ''actual'' mental health services in the worlds of DC or Marvel to deal with such issues. The book's central concept, Sanctuary, makes him ''beyond'' livid, since it hinges on the idea that an artificial intelligence is somehow a good substitute for ''actually qualified doctors, nurses, psychologists and psychiatrists''.

* WorldBuilding: Linkara will praise art works that are able to organically implement this without resorting to {{Info Dump}}s. Relatedly, he appreciates it when superhero comics and their adaptations actually bother to show [[AlternateHistory how their heroes have changed their worlds in comparison to reality]], using the examples of Nixon winning another term in ''ComicBook/{{Watchmen}}'', the Day of Remembrance from ''ComicBook/BlackestNight'', and Captain America and the Howling Commandos' Smithsonian exhibit in the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse as to make the universes feel "real." However, this cuts both ways, with him then pointing out how in several cases, the attempts at WorldBuilding will actually just open up plot holes and make the world feel even ''less'' original (i.e., Linkara's very confused how it took until the events of ''ComicBook/CivilWar'' for the Marvel Universe to have bothered designing sufficiently advanced prisons for supervillains).

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: When Lewis and Viga moved into a new house, Lewis used this to explain the new place InUniverse: as it turns out, when super villains and creatures are constantly attacking you at home, people aren't going to want you to live their building, so the landlord hiked up the price of Linkara's rent, forcing him to move out.
** Same thing happens the second time they move (this time due to a botched test of the security systems that resulted in a self-destruct sequence): since that house was a rental, word spread about the shenanigans Linkara gets into, so now no one will let him rent, so he and Viga had to buy a house, under the former's name, since it's gotten to the point that no one trusts him with a loan.
** In the 2020 year-end recap Allen releases a scathing TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to President Trump after putting up with him for four years.
