The show is decently balanced normally, but come battle time, Hibiki kills mroe baddies, gets the {{Upgrade Artifact}}s earlier, does all the {{Rousing Speech}}es and generally has everything revolve around her. Unsurprising, givng she's an expy of [[FutariWaPrettyCure Nagisa]] and [[FutariWaPrettyCureSplashStar Nagisa]], both known for being this as well.

Truckloads of speculation were done concerning this pic, and a good portion of the fanbase thought secondary characters Waon and Seika, whose last names matched the cardinal direction ThemeNaming proposed by Hibiki and Kanade's own last names, were going to become Cures later on. They also have an AloofAlly called Cure Muse, a mysterious [[MaskPower masked fighter]] who helps out Pretty Cure but claims no affiliation with them [[spoiler: until they decide to save her father, Mephisto himself.]]
