* NoOneCouldSurviveThat: Seen near the end of ''"Final"'', when B-ko's battle armor loses power and sends her and A-ko plummeting back into Earth's atmosphere. Not only do both girls survive burning upon reentry, they're not even fazed by it! Instead, B-ko nly quips about it being [[TogetherInDeath "a lovers' suicide"]] [[SarcasmMode with A-ko]], mere moments before they slam into the surface. After a brief cutaway scene, A-ko is shown back at home, where she collapses on her bed, with no sign of injury other than her slighty tattered uniform. Whereas B-ko is seen staring wistfully at the night sky from her veranda, in her nightgown... and is perfectly fine.

[[TwentyMinutesIntoTheFuture Sometime in the future]], Eiko ("A-ko") Magami -- a teenage girl endowed with absurdly high levels of superhuman strength and speed -- attends high school in Graviton City with her best friend, bubbly blonde Shiiko ("C-ko") Kotobuki (who is both TheDitz and a LethalChef). Their incredibly intelligent (and gorgeous) GadgeteerGenius classmate Biko ("B-ko") Daitokuji apparently really, really wants a RomanticTwoGirlFriendship with the blonde dimwit; determined to win C-ko for her own, she attacks A-ko at every opportunity with all manner of HumongousMecha and even a [[{{Stripperiffic}} revealing]] [[BattleBikini battlesuit]]. Things get a ''little'' more complicated when an alien warship descends upon Graviton City with the goal of capturing one of the girls -- or rather, ''rescuing'' her, as [[RagsToRoyalty she seems to be their long-lost princess]]...

* TheIngenue: C-ko is described in the in one of the Japanese promos as "innocence personified." Naturally, this makes her the helpless damsel in distress in the series.

Now has [[Characters/ProjectAko a character sheet sheet]] in progress.
progress, so all character specific examples go there.

* BiTheWay: B-ko has a canonical girl crush on C-ko, yet finds herself struggling with her newfound feelings for Kei. She initially tries to have both, before settling on Kei during ''Final''. While in ''Uncivil Wars'', she falls in love with Gail.

* TheCutie: C-ko is cute, childlike, and very devoted to A-ko.
* DaddysGirl: In ''Uncivil Wars'', C-ko is the daughter of a mega rich corporate tycoon, who spares no expense at celebrating her 10th birthday by throwing an instellar galla in honor of the occasion. When she gets kidnapped, he ends up [[spoiler: penniless, having given the entirety of all his assests to finance her safe return]].

* FieryRedhead: The eponymous heroine has the hair color and temper to match.

* FlyingBrick: A-ko is a textbook example, minus the flying part (she flies only when B-ko is carrying her through the air). Her powers include:

* FragileFlower: It doesn't take much to make C-ko cry, especially if anyone yells at her.

* GenkiGirl: C-ko is usually very energetic and cheerful, best seen when she and A-ko first introduce themselves to the class. A-ko tells her she's being [[NoIndoorVoice too loud.]] C-ko's response...?
-->'''C-ko:''' ''(laughing)'' "I don't care! "Let it all hang out" I always say!"

* HairDecorations: C-ko wears daisy barrettes in her hair.

* {{Kawaiiko}}: C-ko looks and acts very cute and feminine.

* AcademicAlphaBitch: B-ko is not only a top honors student at Graviton High, she's capable of literally designing mecha overnight (severl at once, in some cases).

* [[BeautyBrainsandBrawn Beauty Brains and Brawn]]: B-ko is a rare case where a single character counts as all three at once.
** Multiple scenes emphasize her beauty, from when she's alone in the bath, or when she's tossing her hair over her shoulder [[BishieSparkle for effect.]] In ''Uncivil Wars'' both Grash and Gail took note of her, with the latter [[WhatBeautifulEyes remarking on her eyes twice]] and becomes romantically involved with her.
** Her intellect is self-evident, given the numerous mech designs she comes up with; including creating an armored suit that puts her on equal footing with A-ko's natural speed and agility. And in ''Plot of the Daitokuji Group'', she successfully repaired Ms. Napolitalita's ship in a single evening.
** And as seen during their confrontation during the first film, she can physically lift [[HumongousMecha a spider tank]] and launch it several hundred meters. While in ''Cinderella Rhapsody'', she proves to be a match for A-ko, [[spoiler: even without Akagiyama-23]]!

* EmbarrassingButEmpoweringOutfit: Akagiyama 23 greatly enhances B-ko's reflexes, allowing her to match A-ko's. It also allows her to fly [[spoiler: and breathe in outer space, thanks to the visor]], and [[MacrossMissileMassacre spam mini missiles.]] Problem is, it's also [[{{Stripperiffic}} incredibly skimpy]] and causes the entire school, including A-ko and C-ko, to laugh at her when they first see it.... until she started [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICiNsGCwvBA kicking A-ko's ass with it.]]

** SuperStrength combined with [[DoesNotKnowHisOwnStrength Does Not Know Her Own Strength]] -- and that's with her PowerLimiter on, too. Without it, a flick of her wrist can send out a shockwave that can cut gouges in stone, cut tables in half, and send nearby people flying.
** NighInvulnerability helps when she has to catch bullets with her hands. She takes tons of blows and is in the middle of various explosions, but she walks away with only scuff marks. Only an alien sword has ever cut her (see also: Required Secondary Powers).
** SuperSpeed allows her to [[BulletCatch deflect bullets from dozens of machine gun-weilding government agents]] with her bracers and jump from missile to missile during a MacrossMissileMassacre (while using that to ''move forward'' towards the source of those missiles).
** Oh, and [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking she jumps]] [[InASingleBound real good]] -- especially when she needs to do some RoofHopping (or Missile Hopping). That combined with all her other powers makes A-ko a true [[{{Trigun}} Humanoid Typhoon]] when she runs.
