* SigilSpam: The new Compass organization has a prominent emblem of wings that is on all their ships, flight suits and the left shoulders of all their mobile suits, including the Gundam's.

* NormalFishInATinyPond: The Foundation imply this about COMPASS's elite pilots, [[spoiler:thinking of them as slightly better than normal Coordinators and Naturals while their PsychicPowers make them the true pinnacle of humanity. In the end they are the real big fish, resting on the laurels of their powers which allows the heroes to exploit the chinks in their abilities to defeat them.]]

The Foundation provided her with everything necessary while letting her leave when she asked, Aura even telling her that Artemis is now her home. When Kira and his rescue team stormed the fortress to rescue her, Lacus gladly went with them.]]

* NotSoInvincibleAfterAll: Defense-wise, [[spoiler:the novel reveals that the Akatsuki is unable to completely deflect beams that are extremely powerful such as a colony laser from Requiem. It still managed to deflect the lasers but at the cost of destroying a large portion of its armor]].
