** Ingrid is a loose reference to [[Anime/CrossAnge Salia]]. Both of them are dark blue haired young women who want to prove themselves useful to their blonde superior who they love, Orphee for Ingrid and Embryo for Salia. [[spoiler:Unlike Salia who learns Embryo's true twisted nature and idea of love and defects, Ingrid and Orphee eventually learn what true love is together]].

** [[spoiler:Athrun's is better describe as the "power of lust" which may give Orphee a run for his money but in a far more subdued and humorous way. Out of everything he can imagine, he thinks of a '''giant naked Cagalli''' which not only shocked Shura, it ''scared'' him. A straighter example is that Athrun trusts Cagalli ability to control the Infinite Justice Type II from a distance so that Shura can't use his mind control powers against him to predict his moves. The novel of the movie plays it straighter as Athrun recalls all the happy moments he shared with Cagalli, clinging to them, including the aformentioned moment.]]

** Cagalli knows that Athrun likes cabbage in the "Escape for Two" novella. This is a reference to the ''SEED SUIT'' drama [=CDs=] where Caridad cooked rolled cabbage because she knew Athrun liked it.

The second Blue Cosmos battle involves reusing a Destroy Gundam that is missing an entire arm, has one of its chest cannons patched over, and is missing its backpack and thus its ability to transform.

There's no real indication in either the movie or the novel Siegal was involved with Aura's experiment nor does it seem that Aura was involved too much with ZAFT during that time. So just trimming a bit to keep the relevant information in.
