* GreyAndGreyMorality: All factions involved in the story have done terrible things. While the state military have definitely done a crime bordering genocide, the Isvhali are not exactly innocent victims either with their intolerant worldviews almost bodering on fundamentalism. In addition the Ishval rebellion happened int he first place because some Isvhali eager to start trouble attacked military personnel (who in turn understandably panicked and shot back in self defense). In addition the Ishval refusal to negotiate during the 7 year war with the Military just out of sheer spite due to cultural differences is a huge factor for the "genocidal policy" the state committed as they prefered adding fuel to the fire and continue the war.
