* VideogameSettings: All of the Zone motifs fit these molds, being that they are CyberSpace. For example:
** [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Green Zone]] is both the GreenHillZone and the FirstTown.
** PalmtreePanic: Island Zone, with a dash of UnderwaterRuins and DownTheDrain.
** LethalLavaLand: Magma Zone.
** MedievalEuropeanFantasy: Lake Zone. [=IceDevimon's=] presence converts half of the Zone to a SlippySlideyIceWorld.
** ShiftingSandLand: Sand Zone, which also counts as TempleOfDoom and MinecartMadness.
** FluffyCloudHeaven: Heaven Zone
** TheLostWoods: Forest Zone
** DownInTheDumps: Dust Zone
** Digital SpaceLevel: the "rift" between Zones where they fought Arkadimon.
** {{Wutai}}: Shinobi Zone
** FlyingSaucer: Disc Zone (note that the whole place are literal saucers/discs outcropped on mountains that are on top of a large, single disc, not the UFO-ish type)
** LevelAte: Sweets Zone.
** [[spoiler: DiscOneFinalDungeon: Sword Zone becomes this once all of the Code Crowns are collected]]
** The manga also features Snow Zone (SlippySlideyIceworld) and Sweet Zone (which later appears in the show).
** In the next arc upon Taiki's return to the Digital World, the Zones have united and have become lands.

** A particularly fun one is Taiki's first battle upon returning to the Digital World in Dragon Land, quite possibly ''the'' best fight scene the franchise has ever seen. * {{Bowdlerize}}: In the ''Fusion'' dub, Lilithmon's cleavage has been covered up, and her and Baalmon's names have been changed to "Laylamon" and "Reapmon" respectively to avoid religious references (though the name "Beelzemon" gets to stay the same). Several shots of the Bagra Army grunts are also cut or altered; likely due to the fact they carry rifles - oddly, the opening of the premiere had the rifles ''glow''; the idea might have been to make them energy weapons but it also makes them ''much more visible''.

* {{Bowdlerize}}: In the ''Fusion'' dub, dub:
** Both
Lilithmon's and Mervamon's cleavage has been covered up, up. Taken to an extreme with Lilithmon's combat fusion form late in the series, as it had Evilmons from silly talking breast armor for her; the English dub completely excludes them from the fusion, cutting the most blatant shots and her photoshopping them away in the rest.

and Baalmon's names have been changed to "Laylamon" and "Reapmon" respectively to avoid religious references (though the name "Beelzemon" gets to stay the same). same).

Several shots of the Bagra Army grunts are also more explicit violence were cut or altered; likely due to such as characters getting cut or impaled or some of the fact they carry rifles - oddly, the opening of humans physically punching one another. One odd edit in the premiere had involved Bagra army grunts carrying rifles, as the editors made the rifles ''glow''; the idea might have been to make them energy weapons but it also makes them ''much more visible''.

* ArtEvolution: A lot of work has been put into the shading of the characters - far more than in previous series, making the characters look flat in comparison. In fact, though the characters have been drawn a lot like ''Adventure'' and ''Frontier'' characters, the animation style, coloring and shading looks more like TheMelancholyOfHaruhiSuzumiya with bits of TengenToppaGurrenLagann thrown in - just look at the [[spoiler: Digivolution, Double Xros and Great Xros]] sequences. Heck, any of the digimon in the Generals' armies display this perfectly.
