* The infamous pre-teen group sex scene from Creator/StephenKing's ''Literature/{{IT}}'' was to the surprise of nobody omitted from both the [[Film/IT1990 1990]] and [[Film/IT2017 2017]] adaptions, despite King himself defending its place in the story. In general most of the sexual aspects of the book are toned down or just removed, however the original script for the 2017 film was more graphic with Stanley being lured and attacked by a naked woman/witch who springs from a Mikvah and poor Beverly getting explicit sexual abuse from her PervertDad. Thankfully all of this removed when the new director and writers came in. The 2017 is still more risqué than 1990 version given the Loser's Club strip down to their underwear and go swimming in the lake, a scene also not in the book where the kids kept their kit on the majority of the time.

** In ''Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron'', ComicBook/ScarletWitch, traditionally one of the most notoriously and frequently {{Stripperiffic}} superhero comics characters, wears a knee-length long-sleeved dress (albeit with some ZettaiRyouiki), later changed to a black leather suit with a red corset and [[BadassLongcoat trench coat]]. Both Creator/JossWhedon and Creator/ElizabethOlsen have stated in interviews that it was established early on in casting that Olsen would not be required to wear any of the character's less modest comic outfits. ''Series/WandaVision'' gives the classic revealing outfit a ShoutOut in one episode, where Wanda [[https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/WandaVision-Halloween.jpg wears a version of it]] (albeit still toned down from the comics) as a Halloween costume. [[spoiler:She finally gets something resembling the classic outfit during the finale, minus the cleavage but still form-fitting and very flattering.]]

* In the ''Literature/JohnCarterOfMars'' novels, Mars has a nice climate and the inhabitants don't bother with clothes much; visual adaptations (including ''Film/JohnCarter'' and Creator/{{The Asylum}}'s ''Princess of Mars'') always give them at least enough clothing to avoid trouble with the censors. In ''Film/JohnCarter'', Deja even feels the need to state that she feels that the skimpy wedding outfit she wears wasn't her idea and that she considers it vulgar...even though it's not much more revealing than the armor she wore in other scenes.

* In-universe in ''{{Film/Sirens}}''. Norman Lindsey is doing a painting of the Sirens from Greek mythology, who are usually portrayed as naked seductresses. One of his models Giddy prefers to keep her clothes on, so her siren is to be wearing a dress. [[spoiler:She later decides to pose nude afterall]].

** The sex scenes between Sue and Tommy, and Chris and Billy are dropped from the 1976 film. The former couple had a scene scripted but cut from the film, while the latter couple just imply that Chris is about to give Billy oral sex. The 2002 film just references that Sue and Tommy have done it, while Chris and Billy are just shown lying in bed together before the prank - and they had a graphic sex scene after fleeing the gym, but in the film they're fully clothed. The 2013 film gives Tommy and Sue their sex scene back, but none for Billy and Chris.

* ''Film/{{Old}}'': In the original graphic novel it is based, ''ComicBook/{{Sandcastle}}'', when the kids suffer from RapidAging they no longer fit inside the swimsuits they arrived to the beach in and they spend a good deal of the story in the nude. In the film, the parents had brought extra swimsuits and a change of clothes for themselves and as such the kids were able to use them when they started growing, with the most that ever happens is that Trent spends a few scenes wearing a towel tied around his waist.

* ''Film/DiaryOfAWimpyKid'': Downplayed with Greg but because Creator/ZacharyGordon was a 13-year-old minor during the filming of ''Dog Days'' (which adapts several scenes from the third book, ''The Last Straw''), a few scenes involving Greg in his underwear, unsurprisingly, had to be removed such as Rodrick shoving Greg out of the hotel room in his underwear and Greg's pants falling down, revealing his Wonder Woman underwear (although the former is played via animation at the start of the movie).

* In ''[[Film/ThreeHundred 300]]'', plenty of people found something to joke about with the Spartans wearing leather speedos, but that was a step up from the original graphic novel where often they were completely nude (reflecting Greek art in depicting warfare).
* ''Film/AbsolutePower'': The scene with Christy is more explicit in the book, to the point that she removes her panties entirely, with Luther having an unwanted look at her genitals. Here, they don't go nearly that far.

* In ''Literature/GeraldsGame'' Jessie spends most of the book naked except for some panties (having just been about to partake in bondage sex with her perverted husband, before it all went horribly wrong). [[Film/GeraldsGame In the film adaptation]], Jessie despite being played the gorgeous Creator/CarlaGugino who’s actually rocked the “naked besides some underwear” look in ''Film/SinCity'', is conversely wearing a slip in the movie.

* The [[Film/DrNo cinema adaptation]] of Creator/IanFleming's ''Literature/DrNo'' had this problem in filming the iconic scene where Honey Ryder [[SexySurfacingShot comes up out of the sea and walks up the beach]]. As generations of short-changed Bond fans have pointed out, in the novel she’s stark naked. In the film, Creator/UrsulaAndress has to wear a bikini to meet the social conventions of early 1960's movies.
** In ''Live and Let Die'', the "Fillet of Soul" nightclub singer takes the place of, in the book, a full-on ''stripper.'' (It's a very minor plot point that Bond seems to actually be DistractedByTheSexy.)

*** Ironically the 2017 is still more risqué than 1990 version given the Loser’s Club strip down to their underwear and go swimming in the lake, a scene also not in the book where the kids kept their kit on the majority of the time.
