* Yuki Nagato of ''HaruhiSuzumiya''. There's a reason why she's called a BadassBookworm. She's badass enough that she doesn't need to move a limb to fight. She can open her mouth, and (at least in the anime), chant SQL queries backwards, sped up. At one point, she blocks a gigantic cave cricket's attack without flinching by using a gigantic forcefield. Most of the time, she uses her data manipulation for good, like helping the team win a baseball match in order to prevent the world from ending, and playing a kickass electric guitar solo. And that's not even mentioning the battle with [[{{Yangire}} Ryoko Asakura]], who is no slouch in that department herself.

** Just about all the girls in ''{{Kara no Kyoukai}}''. All girls in ''{{Tsukihime}}'' except Hisui and maybe Kohaku (unless we count ''Melty Blood'', where they're upgraded to {{Ninja Maid}}s). All female Servants (Caster, Saber, Rider) in ''FateStayNight'', plus Rin Tousaka and Sakura Matou (though Sakura is more of a DarkMagicalGirl). Though Type-Venus never had any action scenes and seem to be very gentle, it is extremely likely she can kick a lot of ass as well; even weakened, she is still one of the "Ultimate Ones."

** Other action-oriented ladies in the Gundam series are: [[WaifFu Lalah Sune]], [[TeamMom Matilda Ajan]], [[RebelliousPrincess Sayla Mass]], [[LadyOfWar Emma Sheen]], [[ActionGirlfriend Fa Yuiri]], [[CuteBruiser Elle Vianno]], [[DefrostingIceQueen Roux Rouka]], [[TeamMom Marvette Fingerhut]] (along with the girls of the [[TheShrikeTeam Shrike Team, too bad they don't last]]), [[ColonelBadass Lucrezia Noin]], [[GenkiGirl Hilde Schbeiker]], [[FrontierDoctor Sally Po]], [[{{Tsundere}} Sochie Heim]], [[IneffectualSympatheticVillain Poe Eiji]], [[LadyOfWar Cagalli Yula Athha]], [[KuuDere Soma Peiris]], etc. Heck, when given the chance, even ''Relena Peacecraft'' could handle herself [[LadyOfWar passably well and very elegantly]] [[GirlsWithGuns with a handgun]]; had she been a MartialPacifist and not an [[ActualPacifist absolute one]], who knows...

** Single exceptions are FauxActionGirl Miko and CuteMute, nameless, Natsumi's mom. Partly subverted because [[spoiler: Natsumi's mom, before getting [[MindRape broken into a mute StepfordSmiler]] used to be a fairly good Action Girl]].

* Almost every single female character in ''MasterOfMartialHearts''. Even the most unsuspectable ones.

* ''BlackLagoon'' is crawling with them...you've got the DarkActionGirl, the LadyOfWar, the NinjaMaid...just about every female character with lines can kick much arse when the mood strikes them.

* Why is ''{{Detective Conan}}'' not here? I mean, Ran can kick down doors, break knives, dodge bullets, help kick the ass of 50-60 armed men, kick the ass of any person who hostages her or harms her loved ones, and even dent a cement telephone post if she's in the mood for it. And she's not the only one.

* A cardinal rule of ''PokemonSpecial'' is that if you have paired X chromosomes and you come into a Pokedex by hook or by crook, you are one of these to a degree without exception.

** Yellow is the kind of person who would rather befriend Pokémon than fight them, but even Sird realizes (and Lance learns through experience) that cutting off any possibility of diplomacy with her is a ''[[BewareTheNiceOnes cosmically bad]]'' idea.

** Anyone who looks under the WildChild and BadassNormal entries should be aware of what Sapphire is capable of; capable in combat both with and without her Poks, and hardly a slouch in the cranial department [[BookDumb despite her complications in Roxanne's written challenge]]. She also developed a soft spot for [[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass Ruby]], and though he hasn't gotten in a hot spot she needed to wholly bail him out of, it's safe to assume that threatening his safety with her in proximity is akin to a death wish.

** Speaking of Action Girls from the Pokemon anime, all of Ash Ketchum's female companions are this, with Misty and Iris arguably being the biggest ones. Although, May and Dawn are no slouches themselves.

** Rain Mikamura is more of a WrenchWench than a full-blooded ActionGirl, but [[spoiler: she actually ''defeated'' Allenby in battle and finished Domon's DefusingTheTykebomb process]] so she's not exactly to be trifled with. Not to mention that despite not being specifically trained as a Gundam Fighter, she could withstand putting on the series's LatexBodySuit through a ''very'' painful process.

* ''{{Naruto}}'''s Temari holds the shining distinction of being the only female to participate in the Chunin exams to actually win a fight, and to add insult to injury, she did it twice, without taking a scratch either time. And last but certainly not least, she later defeated Tayuya in the Sasuke Retrieval arc and all, you guessed it, without taking a scratch.

** Ino Yamanaka is finally growing into her own as of this arc as well. [[spoiler: Lets see, she's the one who brought down Kinkaku when he was all [[SuperPoweredEvilSide Kyubified]], enabling him to be [[SealedEvilInACan sealed in the Amber Sealing Pot]]. Then she saves Choji twice in the battle with Asuma, the second time actually ''fighting'' Asuma in Choji's body while ''lecturing'' him, actually forcing Asuma back and making him use a [[StuffBlowingUp Katon]].]]

* The titular character from ''{{Madlax}}''.

** Athena could also qualify, but since all of her battles so far have been against the main character, it's questionable whether she goes here or DarkActionGirl.

** Okay, so Tatsuki Arisawa, being just an OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent, couldn't possibly hope to stand up against most of the ladies on this page. Still, she's definitely an Action Girl by those standards, being able to take out a bunch of possessed, zombie-like students on her own. Who knows, maybe she'll TakeALevelInBadass...

* Rushuna in ''{{Grenadier}}''. Her goal is to get the enemy to lose their will to fight bythe power of her smile. She regularly fails on this part. So she has to use her ImprobableAimingSkills and UnorthodoxReload to shoot anything that moves. In a world of riflemen and samurai and superweapons, the most dangerous thing is a girl with the MostCommonSuperpower and a six-shot revolver.

* Hinagiku of ''[[HayateTheCombatButler Hayate no Gotoku]]''. She regularly defeats opponents, inspiring awe from the protagonist. She tries playing FauxActionGirl to try and capture his attention, under the impression he likes weak girls, but usually the opponents trigger her BerserkButton and she completely demolishes them.

* Why is ''{{Detective Conan}}'' not here? * ''{{To Aru Majutsu no Index}}'' has many (as to be expected when all of the students in the city most of the story taskes place in go through superpower development programs) to lista few theres: Misaka, Index (in a couple scenes), Itsuwa, Mugino, Kazaki...the list goes on

*** You seem to forget that mangawise, at the start of the Fourth Shinobi World War, she went fought with her cousin Neji and was one of the first to land a blow that knocked many Zetsu clones into the air, and afterwards, saved Neji, prodigy of the Hyuuga Clan, from an attack he didn't see coming. During the Invasion of Konoha, she stopped Pein from outright just taking Naruto to be sealed into Gedo Mazo where no one else helped him. Sure, she didn't beat Pein (and anyone else would not have been able to), but she did something no one else thought to do: help Naruto.

* ''{{Naruto}}'''s Temari holds the shining distinction of being the only female to participate in the Chunin exams to actually win a fight, and to add insult to injury, she did it twice, without taking a scratch either time. And last but certainly not least, she later defeated Tayuya in the Sasuke Retrieval arc and all, you guessed it, without taking a scratch. [[NeverMessWithGranny 70+ year old]] Chiyo definitely applies, being able to hold her own against one of Akatsuki's most powerful members.

** Sakura tends to fluctuate between this trope and FauxActionGirl. She started off as TheLoad, then had an Action Girl moment in the Forest of Death during the Chunin Exams, then TookALevelInBadass in Shippuden and became a full-on Action Girl... then fell behind again after the first two arcs. She did ''try'' to become an ActionGirl again when she tried to [[spoiler:kill Sasuke]], but... that didn't go very well. Sakura ''has'' had one or two Action Girl moments since her DayInTheLimelight, but YourMileageMayVary whether they'd actually qualify.

** Ino Yamanaka is finally growing into her own as of this arc as well. [[spoiler: Lets see, she's the one who brought down Kinkaku when he was all [[SuperPoweredEvilSide Kyubified]], enabling him to be [[SealedEvilInACan sealed in the Amber Sealing Pot]]. Then she saves Choji twice in the battle with Asuma, the second time actually ''fighting'' Asuma in Choji's body while ''lecturing'' him, actually forcing Asuma back and making him use a [[StuffBlowingUp Katon]].]] If she keeps this up, damn...

** [[ShrinkingViolet Hinata Hyuga]] seems to have fully became one since the Invasion of Pain. [[spoiler: [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome The Anime even gave her one of the only blows that Deva Path would take]].]] And now that the [[spoiler: [[WarArc Fourth Great Shinobi World War]] is on]], she finally is living to her ActionGirl potential. First [[spoiler: helping her cousin [[TheAce Neji]] blow away a bunch of Zetsus at the start of the battle.]] THEN later in the battle, [[spoiler: actually [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome SAVING Neji and killing a Zetsu in one blow]].]] Hinata's a full on LadyOfWar now.

** The most badass female and [[strike:arguably]] the most badass person is Izumi Curtis, the local ActionMom; she cements it during the Tales of a Master flashback to her training in Mount Briggs, where she is forced to fight for her life in Winter and does this by taking out patrols from the heavily trained Fort Briggs, then she throws a bear to the ground, knocks the damn thing out, and drags the bear back to the person who told her to fight for her life for a month. She then beats the shit out of him for being a famous martial artist instead of a famous alchemist.

* Inoue Miyako from ''DigimonAdventure02'' gets an honorable mention, for her "Skateboard Thwap Attack" on [=LadyDevimon=], which was ''definitely'' her CrowningMomentOfAwesome. Ruki from ''DigimonTamers'' is about as close to an ActionGirl as a {{Mons}} or BondCreatures series can get. Yoshino from ''DigimonSavers'' had her moments as this too. (Izumi, from the SuperSentai-inspired 'kids-turn-into-Digimon' ''[[DigimonFrontier Frontier]]'', was a FauxActionGirl, unfortunately.)

* Fabiola Iglesias of BlackLagoon, a relatively new character, is the exception, being essentially a more idealistic and kinda child-likeversion of Roberta.

* Revy, Balalaika, Shenhua, Eda, Roberta and Fabiola from ''BlackLagoon''. The show is noted for its high ratio of Action Girls, who tend to deliver equally high body counts. Although, given that Black Lagoon's a bit of a BlackAndGrayMorality show, and that most of the women are quite [[HeroicSociopath aggressive and immoral]], it's debatable whether they'd count as Action Girls or {{Dark Action Girl}}s. Or if they're just {{Anti Hero}}ines.
** Fabiola Iglesias, a relatively new character, is the exception, being essentially a more idealistic and kinda child-likeversion of Roberta.
