What weird stuff have you found?

In addition to UBOA, the flying sequence, and all the effects, list some other stuff you've found.

I found a little party compelte with boom box and the bird people in the "leafy desert" near where you get the jelly and the towel (to the left).

I also found what looks like a refugee city.

Tha hand people give you seemingly random numbers if you talk to them.

I hear there are a lot of extra, pointless, but cool things. List them here.

Kalle: Have you found the Kyukyu-kun room yet? I've heard about it and saw a Youtube video of it, but I do NOT want to look for myself.

Wilbo: I think I found it and here it goes OH MY GOD MY EYES MY EYES AHHHHH!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=by3hojNV5Nc

I heard that if you kill a lot of creatures the gameplay changes until you wake up again.

I found a monster in the leafy desert getting a shampoo in the dark. How do i post images?

I found this area in the black and white area where if you go in this little room a decapitated head starts flying around but it disappears when you leave the room. There's a male and a female version... (i think the female head is creepier.)

I found an area in the black and white desert-place where if you stab this box with an eye-thing on it enough times, you'll get transported to an area with a bunch of eyeball-guy-thingies. (Excuse the Buffy Speak. Explaining this game is hard.)

I think she killed herself because she had done all she can do in her little imaginary world and she knew her life was never going to get better.

VoodooMaster: I don't know if this is the place, but check this out. I'm honestly surprised that even though the game is dreary and unhappy, the fandom portrays the "main" characters (Madotsuki, Monoe, Monoko, Piniko/UBOAAA, and Seccom Masada) as being friends and having fun together. Or, in that video, saving Madotsuki's life. Does anyone know what "tedeshita" means?

Nabi: That's not "tedeshita"; it's "otsu deshita". It looks similar because of the way it's written, I know. Otsu a shortened form of otsukaresama. It means something like "Thanks" or "Good work."

Voodoo Master: Seriously? Well then, thanks. My Japanese-fu isn't very good.

On an unrelated note, when you're at your dream-desk, you can press Z and Madotsuki starts to move by hopping her desk chair. It's very slow, but can be combined with the bicycle speed glitch to make it about as fast as she normally walks. Since it's technically another alteration of her appearance, I wonder if it figures in the ending at all?

You know that long, Aztec staircase you walk up? One time as I was going up them, I saw something black flying around in the sky, following me. I thought it might have been a bird, but it was spinning around in circles. Creeped me out.

Freezair For A Limited Time: That video was... Actually really, really adorable.

Wilbo: Oh man, that video just made the game even sadder.

Keiseth: I just found something weird, though it's probably known to most others. Normally in the dream, Madotsuki's TV shows a picture of an eye if you use it. This time it showed a weird, dragon-ish face, and treated me to a slightly horrifying (fullscreen) display of weird things dancing or walking back and fourth on the screen, with a weird BGM. Pressing 'accept' made me leave the display. Another weird 1/64 effect, like Uboa?

Freezair For A Limited Time: Funky! I wanna try looking for that.

Schrau: I can confirm this one. Easy to do as well, since unlike Uboa you don't have to keep leaving/entering the room.

Voodoo Master: In the leafy desert, going sort of right and then up for a few screens will take you to one of those beige boxes with faces on them, except instead of a face the box just has a hole. If you try to interact with it, there's a fullscreen image and the same "kalimba" music playing as in the TV event. The image is difficult to describe. All throughout the game, there are Aztec-looking patterns, right? And there's one that keeps appearing. It's a guy/monkey with a tail that bends in a spiral, with a hand at the end (?). The image that appears when you interact with the box is that guy, only animated so it's going through his different iterations (rainbow, chrome, dark-world-esque, etc...).

I realize that description is almost useless. It's hard to put some of these things to words.

Doktor von Eurotrash: I had the Takofuusen (octopus balloon) fly over me when in the White Desert. A whopping 1 in 3600 chance event!

Jaabi: Noone's mentioned the Classic Cheat Code for NASU? It doesn't make the game easier, well sort of. At random an eggplant worth 100 points or so bounces along the ground. The code however stops you from keeping your score though, so it's still a futile game.

Lime: I'm sorry, but would anyone happen to have the source of some of the statements in the article, such as the text for Mission-Pack Sequel and Real Life Writes the Plot? I haven't heard that Kikiyama's making a sequel, and I thought that the thing about Madotsuki being based off his girlfriend was a rumor. To be honest, it sounds like bull to me.

Narvi: I don't suppose anybody knows where to find this game? Google has trawled up a bunch of dead links.

Jaabi: Go to Game FA Qs and try one of the FA Qs for Yume Nikki, I'm pretty sure one has a link in it.

Narvi: Ah. My thanks. Here, have a working link.

  • We clearly have very different definitions of "working link." Considering rapidshare is trying its damnedest not to let you download anything if you don't wanna pay, and I'm not terribly sure I can do anything with a .rar

s5555 Shouldn't this be redirected from Dream Diary? After all, it's Exactly What It Says on the Tin and more.
