Describe Countdown With Keith Olbermann Discussion here.

Jordan: I get the impression that whoever added Hand Over as a trope was thinking of what it suggests rather than the actual trope meaning (refusing to or reluctance to shake hands). Having watched Olbermann and Maddow a few times, I assume they meant like how he will say something like "next up, the Rachel Maddow Show). Is there a trope for that?

Mr Fluffykins: I pulled this:

* Crowning Moment Of Awesome: In early February 2009, ex-vice president Dick Cheney delivered a particularly incendiary speech about the state of Obama's presidency in which Cheney said that the repeal of any defense programs the Bush administration had made would result in an attack on the United states that would dwarf that of 9/11. Olbermann responded with a scathing retort in which he effectively said Cheney should be deported as he was "Doing the terrorists' work for them.". the left applauded, the right was less amused. See for yourself.
** Not to mention his plea in defense of same-sex marriage.

I left CMA in as a trope example, but edited it to say that any of his "Special Comments" could be a CMA depending on your views. Any specific examples should be put in the Sugar Wiki.

ME: I removed it alltogether, for it's only a CMA if one is really partisan toward the left (he's doing his job of Preaching to the Choir in a secluded news studio...that's awsome how?)

Mr Fluffykins: The Widget Series and Weirdness Magnet examples are about the same thing AND contradict each other. Somebody needs to fix that.

Jordan: I added the Widget Series example, and after watching more episodes, it seems like "flyover country" is often the subject of his humor, but there have been a couple of times (although not as many recently) where Olbermann has covered something weird from Japan, so I don't think theose examples necessarily conflict.

Nasrudith: Removed the political natter and justifying edits around Strawman Political.
Linhasxoc: Who took out all the trope examples? I checked the page history, and it looks like it was an unregistered IP address. I'm all for the Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgement, but this seems to be taking it a bit too far. I think it is entirely possible to use the aforementioned Rule, yet still actually list trope examples. Because if we're not going to have examples, why have a page in the first place? So, who's in favor of restoring examples?

Rissa: I'd be in favour. If we nuke the examples on every page where there are going to be disagreements, pretty soon we won't have a wiki. So long as people are reasonable about what they add, it should be fine.
