Working Title: Younger Than They Look: From YKTTW

Would the Master rapidly aging the Doctor in Who series 29 count? Also, motion to move all examples that belong under Plot-Relevant Age-Up. —Document N

Citizen: Perhaps I'm just a bad judge of comic age, but that picture doesn't strike me as especially improbable for 16. A Robot Girl like Chachamaru would work better, coming from the more extreme end.

I'm wondering if we should strike examples from this page that aren't highly extreme versions, especially for anime/comics etc. My reasoning being that fictional characters don't ACTUALLY have an age (especially those that aren't portrayed by real people), and are in fact given (usually) arbitrary numbers and appearances. For instance, "Yoko" from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is just a bustily-drawn girl who looks and acts in her late teens or early 20s... but then the creators come out and say she's 14. Uhm, no, she's a drawing. I mean, they could say she's 140, or 14 MONTHS... they can SAY anything. Point being there's no real point of reference to define her age, so there's no sense in even giving her one, short of making people feel guilty for finding her attractive (and conversely, allowing other people to find her more attractive BECAUSE of it...). Also, some artist just can't draw teenagers worth a crap. This goes all the way across the board except for the most extreme and usually plot-relevant purposes. Just a thought.
