* ''VideoGame/SpiderMan2'' has different types of these. For example, buoy tokens are floating on buoys in the ocean, skyscraper tokens are found at the tops of tall buildings, and hideout tokens are in the abandoned warehouses and other nests of the criminal underground. There's no reward for collecting them, other than the satisfaction of HundredPercentCompletion.
* There are twenty Shiny Trinkets in ''VideoGame/{{VVVVVV}}''. Collecting them unlocks tracks for the SoundTest. Finding all twenty is required for HundredPercentCompletion, which gives access to [[spoiler:the secret lab]].
* ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamAsylum'' and ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamCity'' have Riddler trophies scattered around everywhere. They unlock things like challenge maps and concept art, and they're part of a sidequest in ''Arkham City''.
* ''VideoGame/SuperMeatBoy'' has bandages, which are hidden in hard-to-reach spots in most stages. Enough of them and you unlock new characters.
* In ''VideoGame/HardReset'', these are "secrets", and every level has some, hidden in nooks and crannies. They're just ordinary N.A.N.O. pickups (albeit larger than most normal ones), but a "Secret found!" popup appears when you grab them, and you get an achievement for finding them all.
