Except their is a difference... But more importantly, "Dude's better known for other things" is one of the worst arguments I have heard in a long time. First, that's entirely subjective. For many he's probably known exclusively as that nutter from Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure, for others the sacking of Baghdad and for others his fantastic fertility. Regardless none of his accomplishments could occur had he not unified the Mongolian tribes under his empire. The difference here between a character named trope lies in how Genghis Khan's very notoriety is contingent on his unifying, you could call the character the gatherer but the secondary importance lies on the result of unification: something synonymous with Genghis Khan. Typically when characters are named after its because the character is an archetype whose very existence is defined by behavior. I'm not proposing we name a trope where the bad guy kills a side kick "the Joker," That would indeed be an instance where "Dude's better known for other things." I'm proposing we subdivide standard character types further using the model set by its must notorious historical precedent.

Now that I've thoroughly vented that frustration, I'll work on another name.
