Don't worry, I just insulating that totalitarian ideologies are anti-intellectual like "a brew new world", "1984",
Not that there are no intellectuals in totalitarian ideologies.
Its just that they tend to be censured, branded as "jews" or "Troiskists"/heretics/criminals/terrorists etc or worse..and dissappear.

The Strugatsky Brothers fought against the Soviet censorship, all great soviet thinkers and artists
especially those of socialst conviction themselves swimed in counterstream.
Alot of Russian and socialist SF-writers remembered when socialism was smaller ideology often dominated by a more educated core group.
However most russian scientists where shamelessly pseudointellectual and resorted to antiintellectualism when it became obvious.
In early soviet there where a "cult around the engineer", that the engineer could engineer society just as he did the physical material.
Lenin didnt seem to pay much interest into art at all.
Stalin didn't like science fiction, he prefered wild west movies with cowbows.
