GarbageWrestler, SquashMatch, TonightInThisVeryRing, RingOldies, GorgeousGeorge, LoserLeavesTown, CharlieBrownFromOuttaTown, WrestlingMonster and WrestlingDoesntPay are all genre specific tropes, so the idea that they are so unwanted is untrue.

I know this is a trope because I have 14 bullet points for it, I just need some help getting some more examples. The thing that should be self evident is that being the best professional wrestler in the world is objectively subjective because the outcome of every bout is predetermined (so it is not on skill) and the wrestler who tears down the roof one place (Bret Hart, Mistico) will be glossed over elsewhere (you cannot get fans, the people who drive the industry, to agree on it either). So calling ___ best in the world is about as credible as calling ___ the world's strongest man or [[Wrestling/{{Shimmer}} a fairy psychopomp]].

Even if it were true in real life, in the context of a wrestling show he's only the best because someone decides he will be, its as much a gimmick as being a [[Wrestling/TheUndertaker grave digging satan worshiping zombie]]. (note to self, do not use backspace on you know that thing where).
