I don't see what's wrong with it. We have RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap, why not the inverse? * Greninja in Franchise/Pokemon was the most popular starter of all time in terms of usage, beating out even Charizard, being the fifth most-used out of all pokémon species. Then, after it was announced to be playable in VideoGame/SuperSmashBros, fans began crying foul, largely due to the trailer purposely making its silhouette and stance resemble the long-mourned Mewtwo at first. His fans didn't take the yanked-out HopeSpot very well, taking out their grief on the water frog. * Catbug, the RidiculouslyCuteCritter TeamPet in WesternAnimation/BravestWarriors, was the most popular character in Season 1 despite only having two scenes due to how simply adorable he was. Then the creators caught on and gave him more time in the spotlight, giving him dimensional-hopping superpowers which set off the plot for Season 2. This was also well-recieved. Then Season 2 itself came around, and he was thrown into being the star for several episodes in a row, finally crossing the MoralEventHorizon when his "animal instincts" led him to behead . Now he's, at best, a severe BaseBreaker.
