@SKJAM, who said, far too many ^'s above: Comics/TheBeano: This happens fairly often. One specific example, in the Beano 2012 Annual "Ivy the Terrible" story, Ivy is bored with being a kid, so puts on her mother's clothing and changes her hairstyle to play grownup. It turns out Mum just so happens to own an adult-sized version of Ivy's Limited Wardrobe, so they play with role reversal. * This fits with a recent theme in TheBeano, might be RetCon, might be establishing series continuity. DennisTheMenace has been around for over sixty years now. To get around the character being so old in real terms but yet only ten or eleven InUniverse, the Beano editors decided to make the Menace a dynasty. They have refrained from hitting the ResetButton and have introduced the idea that the Menace of forty years ago is now, more or less, an adult man who has grown up, married, and had a son... who has inherited the mantle and is today's Menace. His father now, as often as not, looks wistfully at his son's antics, and remembers a time when... To make this work, other characters in the Menace universe are now the sons and daughters of adults who, in their time, were Walter the Softy, Beryl The Peryl, et c. "Gnasher" is now a recognised dog breed - in an early story, his DistaffCounterpart was introduced and they had puppies who were just like dad. It could be the reason ''why'' Ivy's mother has the clothes in her wardrobe (like Dennis's dad) is that in her childhood ''she'' was Ivy The Terrible. And so on.
