The Eberron example needs rewritten for grammar, but I'm not familiar with it to be confident in doing so.

I would add the Ravenloft example up above under a "fan works" category.

I'm not sure what to add to the description, except that it's common for them to tie into constellations... May also be tied to elements, animals, plants, or for the very creative something entirely different. I think it says pretty much anything it needs to, really (and I like what it says)... Say it doesn't have to be taken seriously? May or may not grant powers (especially in games) or inform the personality of characters? There's probably a directly proportionate link between how seriously it's taken in-universe and how much it informs the characters, and someone who defies the characteristics of their zodiac is likely to be some sort of ChosenOne or deliver an Aesop about fighting fate. (I have no examples to back that up, mind.)
