* ThePunisher often pulls these off, as disorganized crime is easier to deal with. ** ThePunisherMax begins with Frank sneaking up on the birthday party of the centenarian Don Cesare, shooting him and as many of the invited high-rankers as he can. The resulting power vacuum fuels much of the series. ** In WelcomeBackFrank, Frank goes to a lot of trouble to rescue a Don being held hostage from a South American rebel camp. The UngratefulBastard betrays Frank and returns to New York, where he calls a meeting of the Mafia to deal with the Punisher once and for all. Frank calls him at that moment to ask him ''why'' he'd been rescued, if not as the best way to put a lot of high-ranking Mafia goons in the same room. Then shows up with an M-60. ** Yet another has Frank booby-trap a building where various organized crime members are having a meeting. He pushes down the detonator, making it clear that if he dies, ''everyone'' dies, and promptly starts shooting the helpless criminals. ** [[AffablyEvil Barracuda]] once sent out invitations to multiple mob bosses in a single location in order to mow them down... and as bait for Frank. * EmpireEarth: In the expansion's WW2 campaign, one mission has Admiral Yamamoto's plane sighted in the area. The player must then find and destroy the plane to deal a tremendous blow to the Japanese military. * DawnOfWar 2: One mission type consists mostly of slaughtering your way across mooks to kill the boss, aiding in purging that particular faction from the planet. * Warhammer40K: ** The Death Leaper is a subspecies of Lictor, a special character specializing in these missions. One of its most (in)famous deployments saw it recognize that killing the cardinal in charge of defending a shrine world would only increase the population's resolve, so it instead targeted the cardinal's bodyguards, jumping from the shadows, messily slaughtering one before returning into hiding. The cardinal quickly became completely unhinged, the the resulting loss of morale spread to the planet's defenders, making it easy prey for the Tyranids. ** The KeystoneArmy nature of Tau Ethereals was discovered by accident by the Imperials: a ratling sniper saw an Ethereal inspecting the front lines and took a shot. The Tau army completely collapsed with the loss of their leader. * Accidentally (as always) pulled off by CiaphasCain on multiple occasions. ** In one story, he ends up leading a RagtagBunchOfMisfits through ork-controlled territory, heading back towards Imperial lines. The convoy breaks through the line ork defensive line... only to discover the warboss leading the invasion is there. After defeating him in single combat, the Waaagh! quickly falls apart. ** In another, Cain's personal investigation of a possible cultist site (safely distant from the frontline) instead has him run into the cult summoning a daemon princess. Not only does he survive, the religious fanatics sent to arrest him on charges of desertion witness his slaying the daemon and end up worshipping him as a warrior saint and quoting his (much-bowlderized) inspirational words. * Repeatedly used in AScotsmanInEgypt; the Scots' assassins are very good at their jobs and often murder commanders on the eve of battle to demoralize the enemy army (even further, since they already know they have no hope against the Scottish).
