It's definitely not PeopleSitInChairs; although it may be largely obsolete these days. To think of a few examples where Autosaves DON'T happen:
* Almost any pre-1997 (or around there, not sure offhand) game
* {{DOOM}} 1 and 2, as well as pretty much any game based off of Doom's engine
* DukeNukem
* Many {{RogueLike}}s
* DeadRising2
* Many of the main GrandTheftAuto games:
** GrandTheftAutoClassic
** GrandTheftAutoII
** GrandTheftAutoIII
** GrandTheftAutoViceCity
** GrandTheftAutoSanAndreas
* TheLegendOfZelda
** TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime 
** TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask
* I don't think {{Psychonauts}} had auto-save, but I could be wrong.
 
I think this idea should be divided into three categories:
* When a game has autosaves ''and'' allows manual ones (SaveScummerParadise / SavingIsCheap)
* When a game relies solely on autosaves and doesn't allow you to make manual saves. (RailroadOfAutoSaves)
* When a game ''doesn't'' autosave at all (NoAutoSaveForYou)
