???? You're taking this the wrong way.  Shanghai said that a submissive person does not ask for sex.  I shared a link from a submissive person's blog about how they feel about offering sex to their husband.  To be specific, they feel very good about doing it.

The link is not a good example of this trope, because the link is about submissiveness in general, not this trope.

In "modern times", the most common version of this trope is... let's call it "Played for Fantasy".  The scenario occurs in an ImagineSpot by a character, and they find the situation appealing.  However, that's because this is an EvolvingTrope, as the situation used to be standard piece of storytelling.  Earlier forms of this trope took place on television, but due to the MoralGuardians of the day, even married sex was forbidden from appearing.  So while the offer was there, it had to be shown without the sex.

Greeting someone by immediately offering sex would be a different trope.  ''This'' trope is about the role of the "domestic" partner.  At least, that's what I see.  Sex isn't a required component for the trope, it is merely a common component because [[PeopleSitOnChairs Married People Have Sex.]]
