I assume this includes failed magical/alchemical experiments? If so, that could be added to the description.

Do you know what you get when you mix nitric acid and glycerine together? You get nitroglycerine. The mixture exploded but only created a lot of smoke. With the amount they mixed together it could have leveled the entire building.
