I'll call viable. It's clearly defined, and widespread enough. Add examples, sort by medium (can we please get that AmericanDad one?), define explanation to be clearer, and we'll talk about hats.

Maybe this for laconic:

Suggestion for description.:
* A StockParody/[[ShoutOut Stock Shoutout]] to CSIMiami. The pattern is as follows:

# Character begins sentence...
# ...[[GlassesPull puts sunglasses on]] mid-sentence...
# ...and makes a witty quip or pun.
# [[QuipToBlack Cut to a cityscape]], with a loud [[TheWho YEEEAAAAAAHHH]] ([[http://yeahbutton.com/ sample]])

This mimics the CSI Miami opening pattern, where the main character puts on his shades, performs a witty/corny oneliner, generally in the GallowsHumor flavour, and the scene is cut directly to the show opening sequence, with Miami (?) cityscape and the show's theme song, sampled with the profilic YEAH! yell cut from a TheWho song.
