* In ''TabletopGame/{{Paranoia}}'' the player characters are "troubleshooters" tasked by an insane computer with hunting down mutants, commies, and secret societies.  And everyone in the Complex is a mutant communist who is a member of at least one secret society.  When you add in the notoriously unreliable equipment and security robots and the ways the GM is supposed to encourage players to stab one another in the back it's no surprise that many go through an entire six-pack of [[BodyBackupDrive clones]] in one session.
* In ''EclipsePhase'' the players usually work for a conspiracy of {{Well Intentioned Extremist}}s called Firewall that is dedicated to the survival of transhumanity at any cost.  Which typically means sending Sentinels to planets infested with {{Killer Robot}}s and NanoMachines (such as [[EarthThatWas Earth]], or investigating {{Singularity}}-chaser cults or other criminal syndicates that got ahold of Exsurgent technology or even [[BodyHorror Exsurgents]] themselves.  Oftentimes these missions end with Firewall [[OrbitalBombardment bombarding the site from orbit]] or at best half the party dead and/or catatonic.  Like ''Paranoia'' dead [=PCs=] can be [[BrainUploading downloaded]] into clones but it's typically played for horror instead of humor.
