I was literally thinking of making this, glad someone beat me to it! :D

** Yamato Hotsuin and the man character from VideoGame/DevilSurvivor2 have a complex relatipnship to say the least, but the general way to describe it is that Yamato sees the protagonist as a SubmissiveBadass and treats him as his NumberTwo and later a WorthyOpponent . In fact if the protagonist goes on another story route but his, Yamato is furious and believes the others "corrupted him". In Anime/DevilSurvivor2 however, Yamato's nterest in the protagonist, [[NamedByTheAdaptation named Hibiki Kuze]],  is hit with {{Flanderization}} and makes Yamato have massive HoYay moments, to the point where he outright claims that "Hibiki is mine".

VideoGame
* In TVShow/GameOfThrones, Tryion Lanniest and Margaery Tyrell have virtually no relationship what soever and and seem somewhat indifferent about each other. In VideoGame/TelltalesGameOfThrones however Margaery [[TookALevelInJerkass dislikes Tyrion]], to the point where she almost [[DisproportionateRetribution fires Mia Forrester for merely talking to him]]. Part of this is {{Justified}} as Mira is from North, which makes her suspicious to some and [[GenreSavvy Margaery knows this]].

In the TV/GameOfThrones example I wanted to add to it but with how many there are, you'd need a whole page just for it lol.
