* Walker and Pilgrim in ''{{Powers}} fit this trope.  The two have been through hell and back, survived many horrible/failed relationships and seen worse for wear.  Yet, they still rely on each other through it all.
* Kyle Rayner and Guy Gardner have evolved into this in ''{{Green Lantern}}''.  When Rayner reinstated the Corps, the Guardians eventually assigned he and Guy Gardner as partners.  Since then, the two have become like brothers.
* Agent J and Agent K in ''MenInBlack''.  Justified since the rest of the world isn't allowed to know that they exist.
* Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine in ''ResidentEvil''.  It's not clear what the extent of their relationship is, but Chris was traumatized by Jill's "death", and she sacrificed herself without a second thought to save him.  In ''MarvelVsCapcom3'', if Chris and Jill are on point against each other, Chris's pre-battle quote indicates that Jill is more important than whatever he was just doing.
