When you take all of the criticisms of the similarities to Mamma Mia!, you get a decent jukebox musical that would be fit for anyone that did like Mamma Mia!.
It's not perfect — the cinematography for some of the musical number scenes were a bit off, for my taste — but it's an enjoyable movie.
The song choices were perfect for the scenes they were in. Some musical numbers in other musicals have that, but these ones from the film furthered the story, I found, instead of giving the characters some choreography and goofing-off material to fill out the musical.
Recommend this to any fan of romantic musicals.
Luckily, you won't be distracted by many of the famous faces.
Film A shame that it's in Mamma Mia!'s shadow
