I remember watching Kablam! on Nickelodeon all the time when I was younger. I always wathed it when I could, same with the Nicktoons airings. I found it more intresting than newer shows like Spongebob Squarepants or Fairly Oddparents. Why? It was the most unique of the Nicktoons.
It didn't follow a basic plot like Rugrats or Doug, as it usually went like:
1. Opening title
2. Henry and June wraparound
3. Sniz & Fondue (or reccuring short)
4. Henry and June wraparound
5. Action League Now, part one
6. Eyecatch
7. Comercial break #1
8. Eyecatch
9. ALN part two
10. Henry and June wraparound
11. Prometheus & Bob (or Life with Loopy)
12. Eyecatch
13. Comercial break #2
14. Henry and June wraparound
15. Life with Loopy (or The Off-Beats/Surprising Shorts)
16. Henry and June wraparound
17. Credits
Other shows go like:
1. Theme song
2. Episode A
3. comercial
4. Episode B
5. Credits
It did have some similarities with other shows, though. Like Hey Arnold, most of the main kid characters were done by kids (or teens), the Henry and June shorts were kinda like Animaniacs, The Off-Beats were like Peanuts, and others were just unique.
All the characters were great and their voices really suited them. My personal favorite short is....okay, it's a hard one, I love them all (but I never was a big fan of Patch-head). My favorite episode is hard, too, but it's probably "Won't Stick to Most Dental Work!" (season two fave), "Your Real Best Friend!" (season one fave), "More Happiness Than Allowed By Law!" (season three fave), and "The Best of Both Worlds!" (season four fave). I also liked episode 29, but haven't seen it since `98. My buds just got back into the show after almost 5 years of being cancelled. I even got kids from the Spongebob generation into it! My fave character...hmmm....June. She's just so likeable!
Kablam! has something for everyone. Toilet humor (but not overplayed) for the younger kids, sly inside jokes for the older kids, and plenty of parental bonuses for well, the parents.
Bad points? not much, but probably the lack of a huge fanbase and the amount of nightmare fuel. Other than that, it's perfect.
I recomend this show to EVERYONE! Stop watching that Fanboy And Chum Chum crap and check this out!
A great and unique cartoon
