For a new work, this is shaping up to be an excellent fanfic. John is a unique and distinct OC character, unlike the common superpowered Possession Sues often seen in fan works. His relationship with Seras is not immediately romantic, and is rather platonic. The characters' behaviors are excellently crafted and believable.
