As a word of warning there's some smut to both pairs featured, as well as a good deal of blood and a nasty case of 1066. No punches are pulled either with The Blitz, or 1066, and the linguistic research is fairly impressive, though the nit-picker in this troper would like to point out earlier forms of Cornish, Welsh, French &c. are quite different from the modern versions, but there's research and then there's overkill-ridiculous. This piece is quite distinctly a history piece, although there is some very touching USUK scenes and America is a complete hero.
