A masterful work on an epic scale, and complete, so the reader suffers no frustration from being left hanging in the middle of the plot. Has one of the best portrayals of Ifurita I've seen in fanfic — an extended subplot involves her discovery, with the help of an Earthly professional, of the secret of her "manufacture", and the ramifications of that discovery. And the tension driving the plot to its climax is handled perfectly without a false note anywhere. Flawlessly written and filled with clever ideas and skillfully-executed plotting; among its bonuses is that it seamlessly accounts for all of the pastel drawings of "things that happen after" shown under the end credits for the last OVA episode.
